I’ve figured out the name for my protagonist but it’s important to the plot that he have a nickname. His first and last name are impossible to make nicknames out of. He does searches and rescues and the only thing that I’ve really liked so far is [name_m]Sender[/name_m]. As in he sends people home or he sends people back to their families. But I can’t tell if that’s too cheesy. His nickname will be primarily what he’s addressed as so it’s pretty much as important as his real name, therefore it has to be good, and I’m just not feeling confident about [name_m]Sender[/name_m]. Are there any other good nicknames that could be given to a search and rescuer? Or would it make more sense to just change his last name to [name_m]Sender[/name_m]? Thanks for the help.
I’m a little confused about your dilemma, but to the best of my understanding, your character already has a first and a last name, but the nickname people call him is [name_m]Sender[/name_m]?
If that’s the case, I don’t think it’s too cheesy, although if you’re not 100% confident in it, I like the idea of using it as his last name.
I’m with vestigeofsummer on this one. If he already has a first and last name, and he probably does, you could call him [name_m]Sender[/name_m], or look up names that have to do with the whole “search and rescue” thing.
