These are boys’ names that I love but are long enough for me to think they need a nickname. But I can’t think of any good ones

[name]Adrian[/name] could go by [name]Ian[/name]
[name]Gideon[/name] could go by Giddy
[name]Xavier[/name] could go by [name]Xan[/name]
I know an [name]Adrienne[/name] (female, obviously) who is called Adj (sounds like Age) by her close friends. It’s definitely a nickname, though – not a name she officially goes by. As a nickname, I like it and it could definitely be used by a boy also.
[name]Gideon[/name] could be [name]Dee[/name] or Gids
[name]Xavier[/name] could be Xave (sounds like Zave)
Like I said – I’m talking about true nicknames here, as in not used all the time by everyone. I know lots of people on here plan to have their kid go by a “nickname” all the time, so I’m not sure if that’s what you mean. If that’s the case, these won’t really work.
