My cousin just named his son [name_u]Artemis[/name_u], I came up with [name_m]Art[/name_m], [name_m]Artie[/name_m], and [name_m]Timmy[/name_m] as nicknames. Does anyone have any other suggestions for nicknames? Thanks!
I feel like you have thought of all of the derivative nicknames for [name_u]Artemis[/name_u]. But a nick name doesnt necessarily have to be a short form of their first name. You can use middle names or just random petnames. For example My son [name_m]Nathan[/name_m], frequently gets called Nuggy or Nug. not at all derived from his actual name. While in utero we called him the nugget, it sort of evolved and stuck. Once born He was so snuggly, so he was the snuggley nugget, which became snuggy nuggy which became Nug. you follow? Nicknames tend to happen organicly. Other son, [name_m]Joseph[/name_m], HATES being called [name_m]Joseph[/name_m]. He will tell you his name is [name_m]Joe[/name_m]. and correct you if you say otherwise. Only person who gets to call him [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] is Gramma. and i have no idea why. But he doesnt have a strange one, its just the natural short form. Nicknames are weird. lol. The ones you’ve thought of are great, but maybe something completely random will come up. Sorry for the long post.

I was going to suggest [name_u]Remy[/name_u] and [name_m]Ace[/name_m] as well. I think both are great names/nicknames! [name_u]Asa[/name_u] is the only other one I can come up with.

If you’re still looking for nicknames, [name_f]Attie[/name_f] and [name_m]Arrow[/name_m] (due to the mythological connection, but also if he has an “o” middle name) could work too.

Hey, I just thought of [name_m]Archie[/name_m] as well! It’s a nickname for [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], which also starts with [name_m]Art[/name_m], so thought it’d work for [name_u]Artemis[/name_u], too.
