I love the names [name]Anneliese[/name] and [name]Anya[/name]! So, my question is, could [name]Anya[/name] work as a nn for [name]Anneliese[/name]?
Thanks, berries!

Why not? They’re both forms of [name]Anna[/name], so I don’t see a problem with it. I prefer [name]Annie[/name] or [name]Liese[/name], personally, though.
[name]Anya[/name] can work for any [name]Ann[/name] name. But [name]Anya[/name] is really just a way of pronouncing [name]Anna[/name], so you could always just spell it without the Y (or J) when you write out the nickname.
Without a doubt! But [name]Ana[/name] can also be pronounced [name]Anya[/name] so I would spell it like that!
Hmm, for me [name]Ana[/name] is pronounced On-nuh or [name]Anna[/name]. I’ve never heard it pronounced [name]Anya[/name], and I’ve known several [name]Ana[/name]'s.
If you really wanted to but I think they sound to similar. If it were me I would pick one as the first name then I’d chose a family name or something with a meaning as a middle name. :).
Definitely!!

It’s a slight stretch but I think it could work just fine!
