My friend [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] goes by [name_u]Abi[/name_u], which I prefer the most probably because I’m familiar with it

I prefer short and sweet…[name_u]Abi[/name_u]!

[name_u]Abby[/name_u] looks least contrived to me. I like -ie for some names, but -y feels so unpretentious and simple for [name_f]Lily[/name_f]/[name_f]Molly[/name_f]/[name_u]Abby[/name_u] whereas [name_f]Lillie[/name_f]/[name_f]Mollie[/name_f]/[name_u]Abbie[/name_u] look a bit TOO cute and forced.

I like [name_f]Gail[/name_f]! :stuck_out_tongue:

Seriously though, I like the look of [name_u]Abby[/name_u]. My REALLY honest opinion is that it really doesn’t matter because you aren’t going to be spelling it at people. [name_u]Abby[/name_u] and [name_u]Abbie[/name_u] sound the same when spoken so no one is going to know. Some people, when they hear [name_u]Abby[/name_u] will go “Oh, [name_u]Abby[/name_u]” and some will go “Oh, [name_u]Abbie[/name_u].” When she gets older, she’ll decide which she likes, or if she likes [name_u]Abi[/name_u] or Abs or [name_f]Gail[/name_f], or something else.

[name_m]Just[/name_m] my two cents.
