We had our baby girl 8 weeks ago and named her [name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]. I’ve never been one for nicknames but when I look at her she’s just so damn cute it makes me want to call her something out of affection since [name_f]Thora[/name_f] isn’t really a “cutesie” name. Since having her a friend of a friend used the name [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]. I know it’s a common name but I think [name_f]Thora[/name_f] would have suited that name so much I wish i considered it for her middle name but it never came to me. Anyways- too late for that now- I love how [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] has so many nickname options and think the nickname “P” and “Pen” are adorable. Then I thought I guess I could call [name_f]Thora[/name_f] “T/Tee”? There’s not really any other nicknames I can think of for [name_f]Thora[/name_f]?
I had thoughts like that too after naming our son. Oh, that would’ve been a great middle name and so on. But more out of appreciation than any sort of remorse for what we had chosen.

I still love your choice. It came to mind just the other day. It sounds like you’re looking for some sweet nicknames just to use at home with family, so I’m branching out a little further with these suggestions. Tee is great as is though!
Yes it’s so frustrating isn’t it !!! Couldn’t have come up when pregnant [name_f][/name_f] I do think [name_f]Thora[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] goes well tho and has meaning behind it for us. [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] would be no meaning just the fact I like it [name_f][/name_f]! Thanks for the suggestions [name_m]Tully[/name_m] could be quite cute and T!
Hey, lovely! [name_f][/name_f] [name_f][/name_f]. Nice to see you again, I can’t believe little miss [name_f]Thora[/name_f] already 8 weeks!
[name_f][/name_f]
I think Tee/T definitely works! [name_f][/name_f] I think there’s others you could possibly use, what about these?
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Torie[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Rory[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Orie[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Rora[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Pearlie[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Lola[/name_f] (weird smoosh of [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] and [name_f]Thora[/name_f] in my head, haha)
[name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Pearlie[/name_f] might be my favorite, I think she’s adorable and has a similar feel to something like [name_f]Penny[/name_f] or [name_f]Poppy[/name_f]!
[name_f][/name_f]
For what it’s worth, I think [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] could also work as a nickname!
Hello!!! Nice to hear from you again on my post haha, me neither- it’s gone so fast and she’s such a happy baby!!
[name_f][/name_f]
I love your suggestions! Thank you! I love [name_f]Pearlie[/name_f] and Poppy!! Might try those out with T and see what sticks overtime [name_f][/name_f]
We know a [name_m]Theo[/name_m] called T. It’s a cute nickname.
[name_f][/name_f]
With our kids, some nicknames just come up (one of ours goes by the nickname “Cakes” because of something her sister called her once upon a time )
[name_f][/name_f]
Other playful nicknames you could consider are things that rhyme with [name_f]Thora[/name_f], such as: [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Bora[/name_f] [name_f]Bora[/name_f] [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Thora[/name_f] the [name_m]Explorer[/name_m] / [name_m]Explorer[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Or[/name_m] [name_m]Boots[/name_m], based on the [name_f]Dora[/name_f] reference [name_f][/name_f][name_m]Or[/name_m] something referencing the movie [name_m]Thor[/name_m], such as [name_m]Loki[/name_m] or hammer, etc. [name_f][/name_f][name_f]Fedora[/name_f]
Aww, yay for happy babies! [name_f][/name_f] I’m glad you like [name_f]Pearlie[/name_f] and [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], hopefully you can find something that sticks! [name_f][/name_f] For what it’s worth, since Thora’s middle also starts with a P, if you like P, I think you could use it too?
