Nicknames for a little girl called

Wondering what nicknames you have heard of or can think of for the name [name]Bethany[/name]? I would like to wait til she is a little older and her personality has developed even more before deciding on a nickname but just not sure she is a little ‘[name]Beth[/name]’ quite yet. Although I have had three people already refer to her as [name]Beth[/name] even though we never have… Funny how that works!

Thanks

Bit, bitty, [name]Betty[/name], [name]Annie[/name]. That’s all I can come up with right now.

[name]Bette[/name], [name]Betsy[/name], Bitsy, [name]Anna[/name]…?

[name]Beth[/name], [name]Anne[/name], [name]Annie[/name], Bit, [name]Thana[/name], [name]Bee[/name]

Thanks guys! [name]Betty[/name] would be a super cute nickname, I don’t think I have a hope of convincing my husband to use it though - he disliked so many names I suggested during pregnancy as they were ‘old lady names’ :S who knows though! I often refer to her as B in text messages and email, and I remembered last night meeting a lady called [name]Bebe[/name] which I thought could be cool too. I do like [name]Bee[/name] though  my little [name]Honey[/name] [name]Bee[/name]!

I have a cousin who goes by Bethy. I think Thaney (thay-knee) would be cute also.

I really like B or [name]Bee[/name], Bethy/Bethie, & [name]Bunny[/name].
Obviously the [name]Bunny[/name] nn wouldnt be a nn for everyone to call her.
Im liking [name]Bethany[/name] more & more every time I see/hear it.

My friend’s little sister was a Bethy as a child, now she’s just [name]Beth[/name] or [name]Bethany[/name]. You can also get [name]Annie[/name] from the -any ending, though this might depend on accent and how you say the name, but it works with mine.

I just have to say, I really love [name]Bethany[/name].
I love other Berries suggestions of [name]Betty[/name]/[name]Betsey[/name]…so adorable and vintage!

[name]Bess[/name]
[name]Bessie[/name]
[name]Benny[/name]
[name]Bee[/name]

What about [name]Neena[/name]/[name]Nena[/name]/[name]Nina[/name]? Not that much of a stretch from [name]Bethany[/name]. [name]Ettie[/name], [name]Etta[/name], and Etsie are also possibilities.

i think bety, hanny, bee.

about the mothers and babies

I have a huge soft spot for [name]Betsy[/name]. And it’s not heard often. I also really like Bitsy, too. (My name is [name]Sarah[/name] [name]Louise[/name], and my Dad’s nn for me when I was little was Bitsy!) I do think with Bitsy, though, that it would probably be better as a pet name for you guys, and doesn’t really age well. I think B/[name]Bee[/name] would work well, too. [name]Love[/name] [name]Honey[/name] [name]Bee[/name]!!

She could even go by [name]Annie[/name]!

I think it’s a little weird when you tell someone your child’s name (strangers/acquaintances/friends…not family) and they automatically call them a nn of that name. Um. I actually hear people do this a lot! As a [name]Jennifer[/name] who hates being called [name]Jen[/name] (and only people who don’t know me or have just met me call me that) it’s annoying…but mostly it’s just weird! No, I didn’t tell you my name was [name]Jen[/name]…I said [name]Jennifer[/name]!
