What are some good nicknames for [name_f]Nurit[/name_f] (new-reet). I could call her buttercup as that’s the meaning of her name. I could also use a Middle I love and call her by that occasionally. Thoughts? I’m thinking [name_f]Nurit[/name_f] [name_f]Margo[/name_f] maybe?

[name_f]Buttercup[/name_f] is a great nn!
[name_f]Nita[/name_f]?

[name_u]Nur[/name_u]/[name_f]Noor[/name_f] perhaps?
I love the suggestion of [name_f]Nita[/name_f]!

Nuni
And if you want to call her by her middle name, [name_f]Margie[/name_f] would be cute.

I think [name_f]Nurit[/name_f] [name_f]Margo[/name_f] is charming! I also think others have already given some equally charming nn suggestions… the only one not yet said I can add might be Nua… loving the previous suggestions [name_f]Noor[/name_f], [name_u]Nuri[/name_u], Ri & [name_f]Nura[/name_f]. Personally, I’m not keen on [name_f]Buttercup[/name_f] as a NN other than maybe by a parent at home - if its going to carry through outside of the home and immediate family I would avoid personally.

I feel like her full name, [name_f]Nurit[/name_f], would be fine as she gets older. As a baby, I would probably called her NuNu.
I love the suggestion of [name_u]Nuri[/name_u]! If [name_f]Nurit[/name_f] is pronounced like “[name_m]New[/name_m]-reet”, what about just Nu (’[name_m]New[/name_m]’)?
What about [name_f]Ree[/name_f]? I know an [name_f]Ann[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] whose husband calls her that sometimes. Or, going more off the letters in the spelling than the pronunciation, you could use Nini (nee-nee)?
