Me and my husband are still at odds with our baby’s name but we’re continuing to try and compromise. I think he’s started to soften on ‘her name must be [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] because it’s a family tradition’ but just in case I’m preparing for a baby [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. As I’ve said, there are a loooooot of Elizabeths in the family, so searching for an unused nickname seems nigh on impossible, but if anyone can help, it’s you berries! So, [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] nicknames that are off limits are:
I also can’t have [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]/[name_f]Isobel[/name_f]/[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]/[name_f]Isabella[/name_f].
Phew! So you guys see my problem with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]- there are soooo many of them!
I’m still not crazy about her using her middle name so if she is an [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], she’s going to go by some variation of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], but I just can’t find any nickname I’m crazy about. Please help!
There was a post earlier about nicknames for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. I posted that I really like [name_f]Betty[/name_f] and [name_f]Effy[/name_f] the best. I also mentioned about knowing an [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] who went by [name_f]Bebe[/name_f] (like baybay). Good luck!!
Thanks for your replies so far! I’m not a fan of [name_f]Betty[/name_f]- it’s just a little too old fashioned for me. [name_f]Libby[/name_f] is also off limits- I have a cousin from my side who is a [name_f]Liberty[/name_f]. [name_f]Effie[/name_f] is cute but I’m not sure.
It’s nice that you are entertaining this but i can tell you will never be happy if you do this. You need to put your foot down and say “no I’m sorry this is not happening”. If you aren’t going to listen to me I’ll suggest [name_m]Eli[/name_m] but that’s all I can recommend.
