We love the name [name_m]Hawthorn[/name_m] for our baby boy due in Sept. But I want to find nicknames that will work while he’s little. [name_m]Hawk[/name_m] is nice but I feel like people will think we’re trying too hard to be cool. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t like [name_m]Thor[/name_m] or [name_m]Thorn[/name_m] or [name_m]Hal[/name_m] or [name_m]Howie[/name_m] or Hoth. I love [name_m]Harry[/name_m] but don’t know if that’s a stretch.
Anyone have any ideas on cute nn’s for [name_m]Hawthorn[/name_m]??
[name_m]Harry[/name_m] works, I think, and it’s less of a stretch than [name_m]Hawk[/name_m].
These will all probably be a stretch, but I’ll try…

[name_m]Hart[/name_m]

[name_m]Hawk[/name_m] or [name_m]Thorn[/name_m] would be my preference, closely followed by [name_m]Hart[/name_m], which is a brilliant suggestion!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Hawthorn[/name_m]
Thanks, guys. I still love [name_m]Harry[/name_m]. I do like [name_m]Hawk[/name_m], but keep wanting to say Hawky to make it cute. [name_m]Hart[/name_m] is super cute but I keep wanting to put a “y” or “ie” at the end of all the NNs. Which is why I like [name_m]Harry[/name_m] I guess. So you don’t think people will be like “[name_m]Harry[/name_m]?? Huh? That makes no sense. He’s not a [name_m]Harold[/name_m]!”.
[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Hayes[/name_m]? I also like the suggestion of [name_m]Hart[/name_m]. [name_m]Harry[/name_m] does feel like a bit of a stretch for me.
