[name_f]One[/name_f] of the minor (yet regularly mentioned) characters in my story is called Lady [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_m]Buckminster[/name_m]. She’s a [name_m]Tom[/name_m]-boyish sort of character who hangs around with commoners, so I thought she should go by [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], instead of her full name.
[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] seems kind of girly to me though,so I think a nickname would be better for her. I can only think of [name_f]Immy[/name_f], and it doesn’t really appeal to me.
G/[name_f]Jen[/name_f], G/[name_u]Jean[/name_u] or Idgie are the only nicknames I’ve heard for [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]. The character in, dang what was that book? Oh, [name_m]Fried[/name_m] [name_u]Green[/name_u] Tomatoes. The main character was [name_f]Imogene[/name_f] “Idgie” Threadgoode. She was a tomboy, and an awesome character!
I had a character named [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] (ihm-oh-jin) once, and someone called her [name_f]Genna[/name_f], but that’s not really tomboyish. She was sort of a cold, aloof but secretly vulnerable character. I’d suggest [name_f]Imo[/name_f] or [name_u]Mo[/name_u], but that doesn’t really seem to fit the whole “Lady [name_m]Buckminster[/name_m]” royal theme you’ve got going.
I’d also suggest you use the regular pronunciation of [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], since I’ve never heard it otherwise and just reading it in a story I’d assume it was pronounced the regular way.

Where I live, every one pronounces [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] as Ihm-oh-[name_f]Jen[/name_f], so for me, that’s the normal way to pronounce it.
The first thing that comes to mind is [name]Jenny[/name], lol.
If it were me, though, I’d go with [name_m]Moe[/name_m]. I think it’s cute and tomboyish, which is sort of what you’re shooting for, right? Also, would you consider [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] too much of a stretch?
For something really unusual, I’d say [name]Enna[/name].
