I know [name]Lavender[/name] isn’t a popular choice, but I am loving [name]Lavender[/name] [name]Ellen[/name] lately! So just wondering, what nicknames could a little [name]Lavender[/name] have?? I know Lav is a pretty intuitive choice, but I’m not keen on it, (reminds me too much of [name]Lavender[/name] [name]Brown[/name], “What Lav and I have…”) and using [name]Lavender[/name] all the time seems like a mouthful. What about Vendi? Maybe something like [name]Avi[/name]? (ah-vee) Thoughts?

I love the name [name]Lavender[/name]…but it is pretty weak in the nn dept! Lav or Lavi remind me of lavatory or bathroom, Vender doesn’t work, [name]Vanna[/name] might pass but it reminds me of [name]Vanna[/name] White. Maybe [name]Lara[/name] could work. Besides that I am not a fan of pulling from the middle for a nickname. I love [name]January[/name] & strongly considered it for my [name]January[/name] baby, but I couldn’t see myself using [name]Jan[/name]…and [name]Ary[/name] or [name]Annie[/name] just didn’t feel intuitive enough for me.
For [name]Lavender[/name] I would be inclined to just use [name]Love[/name] as a nickname. It might be too cutesy for some, but I really think it’s sweet & works for [name]Lavender[/name]!
My other suggestion would be to pair it with a middle that you mush into a likable nn. For example, I love [name]Lana[/name]. [name]Lavender[/name] [name]Nancy[/name] could smush into [name]Lana[/name].
Maybe [name]Vinnie[/name], [name]Liv[/name], or [name]Val[/name]? I don’t know that I would use a nickname for [name]Lavender[/name], honestly.
OOh, [name]Andi[/name] is cute.
What about [name]Elle[/name] (L) or [name]Ellie[/name]?
I like [name]Avi[/name]/[name]Avie[/name] quite a bit. 
I think you could probably get away with [name]Liv[/name] or [name]Elle[/name], too.

You guys are awesome, And I’m so glad I’m not the only one not seeing nicknames for [name]Lavender[/name] immediately. There are so many letters and sounds to play with. I am loving a lot of the V names, and the ones that use the V in them! I have a thing for V’s! Aven and [name]Liv[/name] are very pretty too! Not sure how intuitive [name]Liv[/name] is though.
I totally didn’t even think Lavatory for Lav, but that just gives me another reason to be against it!!!
