The name is Thomas Edmund III “Trip”.
While Trip will be his main name, he will not go by Thomas or Tom/Tommy. Wondering about some other little nicknames. Is Teddy intuitive? Drop whatever you think you might also use for Trip.

I grew up with a [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] III who goes by [name_m]Tripp[/name_m]! I think [name_m]Teddy[/name_m] could work too, but I also have a grandpa, dad, and brother who are [name_m]George[/name_m] [name_m]Gregory[/name_m] II, III, and IV who go by [name_f]Greg[/name_f], [name_m]Henry[/name_m], and [name_m]River[/name_m] so I also think once you get a few poeple with the same name in a family intuitiveness of the nicknames they exclusively go by isn’t as necessary.
I think [name_m]Trey[/name_m] could work fairly well as a nn for a [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] and a III. I know a III who was called [name_m]Three[/name_m] while he was younger but goes by [name_m]Theo[/name_m] now (his legal name is Chadrick), and [name_m]Theo[/name_m] could be fun and offbeat for [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]. For [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Edward[/name_m] specifically I think [name_m]Teddy[/name_m] or [name_m]Trip[/name_m] works the best to avoid Tom/Tommy but a few other ideas could be [name_m]Trace[/name_m], [name_m]Taz[/name_m], Tam/Tamsin, or Ty
I think [name_m]Ted[/name_m] works the best for me
Definitely [name_m]Teddy[/name_m] from Thomas Edmund!
[name_m]Mace[/name_m] is an old nickname for [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], and [name_m]Ned[/name_m] and [name_m]Ted[/name_m] for [name_m]Edmund[/name_m]. I hear [name_m]Trey[/name_m] a lot for thirds in addition to [name_m]Trip[/name_m].
[name_m]Teddy[/name_m] works for [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Edmund[/name_m]! Beyond [name_m]Trip[/name_m], I know Tre(y) is a common one for boys who are the third. [name_m]Not[/name_m] sure if it is your style, but my favorite nickname for [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] is [name_m]Moss[/name_m]! [name_m]You[/name_m] also might be able to get [name_m]Tome[/name_m], [name_m]Tam[/name_m], [name_m]Asa[/name_m], [name_m]Toma[/name_m], [name_m]Toby[/name_m], [name_m]Todd[/name_m], or even [name_m]Thad[/name_m]! ![]()
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] “Teddy” is brilliant – I think that works.

love the idea of [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] nn [name_m]Teddy[/name_m]! I don’t have any other ideas—I’m not fond of [name_m]Tom[/name_m] or [name_m]Tommy[/name_m] myself—but [name_m]Teddy[/name_m] is adorable!

[name_m]Three[/name_m] is pretty cool. I think this is what I’m looking for. Sometimes you gotta have a backup alternative nickname on occasion. I could see myself calling him three now and then. Thanks
