Any help please? I adore Vittoria, it’s such a foreign (to me) take on Victoria and seems absolutely regal. I’m finding it hard to settle on a nickname though and I decidedly do not want Tori (I have bad connotations associated with it). All i have thought up myself is
Vi
Viv
& Vivi
all 3 seem highly reminiscent of Vivien not Vittoria so do you guys think they would confuse people and does anybody have something better? Oh, and if anyone is or has a Vittoria do you/does she like her name?
Maybe [name_f]Tia[/name_f], Vittia/Vidia, [name_f]Vera[/name_f], or [name_u]Rory[/name_u]? If you have a middle name in mind, you could get inspiration from that as well.
Maybe stray away from the nickname [name_f]Vivi[/name_f], it will just lead to confusion when she meets new people. [name_f]Vera[/name_f] is absolute gorgeous and makes sense with [name_f]Vittoria[/name_f].
I’m willing to try out [name_f]Vera[/name_f] thanks for the suggestion! I plan on using the combination [name_f]Vittoria[/name_f] [name_f]Mina[/name_f] [name_f]Rosae[/name_f] for this name. Maybe that gives you other ideas for nicknames?
Perhaps these could work as nicknames:
[name_f]Verity[/name_f]
[name_f]Vita[/name_f]
[name_f]Tia[/name_f]
Vitti
[name_f]Ria[/name_f]
Vittima
Tia-Rose
Veramina
There’s an Italian supermodel called [name_f]Vittoria[/name_f] (Ceretti) who I’m pretty sure uses Vitto as a nickname. I could be wrong but I seem to recall seeing her on Instagram under that name. I personally love Vito/Vitto for [name_f]Vittoria[/name_f]. It’s a beautiful name!
Never heard of [name_f]Via[/name_f] but I’m more inclined to use this than any of my other previous choices. Sounds like a nickname not of america which is what I’m going for
I don’t think anyone has mentioned [name_u]Rory[/name_u] which is quite a sweet nickname for [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] or [name_f]Vittoria[/name_f]! [name_u]Love[/name_u] the suggestion of [name_f]Vita[/name_f] too.
A friend of mine has twin girls, one called [name_f]Vittoria[/name_f] and she calls her [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] (VIV-ee).
Well, I like it. This emphasizes that it’s NOT [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] or any other V name. You know? [name_f]Vera[/name_f] could be [name_f]Veronica[/name_f], [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] could be [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], etc. The suggestions I also liked were [name_f]Vita[/name_f] and [name_f]Via[/name_f]!
I agree. [name_f]Viv[/name_f], [name_f]Vivi[/name_f], even [name_f]Vi[/name_f] are distinctly names that radiate they shorten [name_u]Vivien[/name_u] and I didn’t consider that [name_f]Vera[/name_f] could or would seem like a shortened form of [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] but I see it now. Since I started asking for everyone’s opinions I’ve really begun to favor [name_f]Via[/name_f] as the nn I wanna go with
Ooh, I love [name_f]Vittoria[/name_f]! It’s my cousin’s name, and I’m quite sure that she likes it. I don’t think that [name_f]Vi[/name_f], [name_f]Viv[/name_f], or [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] would cause any confusion. I also like the nicknames [name_f]Via[/name_f], [name_f]Vita[/name_f], or [name_f]Vera[/name_f] for it.
