[name]Hi[/name] all,
My partner and I love this name (pronounced “Nee-ko”, not “[name]Nick[/name]-o”), but we disagree on how to spell it?
Thoughts?
[name]Hi[/name] all,

[name]Nico[/name] is my preference. You may not get your desired pronunciation of “nee-ko” with the others (I’m inclined to say “neck-o” if spelled [name]Neco[/name] or [name]Neko[/name]). [name]Niko[/name] reminds me of the [name]Nike[/name] brand so I think [name]Nico[/name] is the best. I love [name]Nikolai[/name] nn [name]Nico[/name].
I think [name]Nico[/name] is the most straightforward, followed by [name]Niko[/name]. If I saw [name]Neko[/name] or [name]Neco[/name] I would wonder if it was pronounced Neh-ko instead. The only [name]Neko[/name] I’ve ever heard of is [name]Neko[/name] [name]Case[/name], and that’s a woman. Also, [name]Neko[/name] (pn neh-koh) is apparently Japanese for cat.
Well definitely not [name]Neko[/name], it’s Japanese for cat, and it’s pn (nei/neh-koh)
[name]Niko[/name] makes me want to say ny-ko, like [name]Nike[/name] with an o.
I knew a [name]Nicholas[/name] who went by [name]Nico[/name]. [name]Nico[/name] to me is the best spelling.
[name]Nico[/name]. Period.
[name]Nico[/name]. Followed very distantly by [name]Niko[/name]. [name]Neko[/name] and [name]Neco[/name] would be neh-ko to me.
[name]Nico[/name]! The e makes it look like Necco [name]Candy[/name] to me.
[name]Nico[/name] followed by [name]Niko[/name] or [name]Nikko[/name]. [name]Neko[/name] and [name]Neco[/name] are “neh-ko”.
I cared for a little boy named [name]Nico[/name] ages ago. He was such a sweet boy, he always had a big smile on his face, and a head full of dark curls.
I know a woman named [name]Nikko[/name]. I have seen that spelling before, too. So I would say [name]Niko[/name], out of the ones you listed.
I initially was thinking, [name]Niko[/name] (nee-ko), spelling, but the more I read other posts, I would have to say, [name]Nico[/name], spelling as #1 choice.
Good luck!
I prefer [name]Nico[/name] from your list but I really like [name]Nicco[/name] as I personally think it looks more balanced.
I prefer [name]Nico[/name], followed by [name]Niko[/name]. My cousin’s nn is [name]Nico[/name], for [name]Nicolas[/name] (from Mexico) and I met a woman named [name]Nikko[/name] last summer.
I like [name]Nico[/name], but, I also have a friend named Nieko, (who is a guy). It’s the Greek spelling of that name, so if you want to avoid [name]Nick[/name]-o, that might be a nice option?
[name]Nico[/name]. I’m not a fan of the other spellings and they’d likely get mispronounced.
[name]Nico[/name]. Definitely.
I also like [name]Nico[/name].
[name]Nico[/name]. Hands down.
Definitely [name]Nico[/name].
[name]Nico[/name] looks the best to me!
