We have a son called [name]Charlie[/name] (officially [name]Charles[/name] [name]Vaughan[/name]) after my husbands grandfather (middle name same as husbands) and now expecting a girl! We’d love to call her [name]Clara[/name] after my grandmother but I’d like to be able to have a longer version. My great aunt was called [name]Christobel[/name] and I was thinking of [name]Clarabelle[/name] but everyone seems to think of a disney cow that I’d never heard of…are there any other suggestions for a full name that can be shortened to [name]Clara[/name], and what does everyone think about two kids names beginning with C…for or against?
[name]Clarabella[/name] or [name]Clarinda[/name]
[name]Clarabelle[/name] was the first thing that came to mind, but what about [name]Clarette[/name], [name]Claretta[/name], or Clarese? That’s all I can think of.
I don’t see a problem with both of their names starting with C.
I like lori johnson’s idea of Clarimonde!
Two c names are okay if you love [name]Clara[/name]; [name]Charlie[/name] is a different sound anyway. I think [name]Clara[/name] is fine on its own. It really doesn’t need a long form, but [name]Clarissa[/name] or [name]Clarisse[/name] would work.
I really love the name [name]Clarice[/name]!
[name]One[/name] of my favourites is [name]Clarity[/name], if you appreciate virtue names. Otherwise, I’ll second Clarimonde as a very elegant choice.
The pps who mentioned Clarimonde and [name]Clarissa[/name]/[name]Clarisse[/name] had awesome ideas.
