I love the name [name_f]Edie[/name_f] and for a long time thought we would probably use it as a full name but I recently wondered whether we should use another 3 syllable name. Today I met a little girl called [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] (Ad-e-line not Ad-e-leen) and fell in love with the name.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_f]Edie[/name_f] could work as a Mn for [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]?
It could work but itās not quite intuitive to me -unless you mean pronouncing [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] as ad-ee-line as opposed to ad-uh-line which is how Iāve usually heard it pronounced? That pronunciation nn [name_f]Edie[/name_f] might work
I donāt knowā¦I love [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]! But prefer Ad-uh-line. And thatās the more common pronunciation. [name_m]Even[/name_m] w/āAd-uh-leenā it feels like a bit of a stretch. What about [name_f]Eudora[/name_f] nn [name_f]Edie[/name_f]?
Thanks Everyone, perhaps Iām best to just stick with one or the other! Iām really not keen on [name_f]Addie[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_f]Adeline[/name_f], so strange as itās such a small difference to [name_f]Edie[/name_f] but I feel completely differently about it!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] the suggestion of [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] nn [name_f]Edie[/name_f]. [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] make the most adorable sibset!
