We love the name [name_m]Benaiah[/name_m], and the biblical character, but we know SOOO many Benjamins that go by [name_m]Ben[/name_m], we hesitate to use our fave boys’ name because of its default common
nn. Any other ideas for where we could go with this? [name_f]Niah[/name_f]? Biah? Anyone?
[name_m]Benaiah[/name_m]:
[name_u]Bay[/name_u], [name_m]Beau[/name_m]/[name_u]Bo[/name_u], [name_m]Brent[/name_m], [name_f]Bren[/name_f], [name_u]Brett[/name_u], yes, I know these are stretching limits, but this name seems very limiting in terms of nicknames besides the obvious [name_m]Ben[/name_m]. I would strongly suggest, despite the fact that I appreciate the name, to consider a different one.
[name_m]Josiah[/name_m], [name_m]Zachariah[/name_m], [name_m]Zephaniah[/name_m], [name_m]Tobiah[/name_m], [name_m]Tobias[/name_m], [name_m]Tobin[/name_m], [name_m]Matthias[/name_m], something like that. I love biblical and Hebrew names.
I think [name_m]Benaiah[/name_m] nn [name_f]Niah[/name_f] works great. Though you can’t really stop others calling him [name_m]Ben[/name_m] if they want to.
Someone I know is called [name_m]Nye[/name_m] (NIE), and I think [name_m]Benaiah[/name_m] nicknamed [name_m]Nye[/name_m] would be a handsome alternative nickname.
