I’ve been thinking about the name [name]Lorelei[/name] lately.
What are your thoughts on nn’s? I’m a nn person and the only two I can think of are - [name]Rory[/name] and [name]Lori[/name]. The first is too [name]Gilmore[/name] Girls for me and the second is my SO’s aunts nn.
Does anyone have any other suggestions?
[name]Lore[/name] or [name]Ori[/name] maybe. I’m not a nickname person, but what I’ve noticed with the names I’m considering for my baby is that when I’ve had them around for a while, a nickname eventually emerges on its own.
What about [name]Lila[/name]?
I can only think of [name]Lolo[/name], [name]Lola[/name] and [name]Ellie[/name]. Although I agree with ottillie - people often get nn’s that are completely unrelated to their name. For example, I have a friend named [name]Beatrice[/name] who’s been called [name]Bird[/name]/[name]Birdie[/name] for as long as I’ve known her. Apparently her family called her Ladybird when she was little and it just got shortened to [name]Bird[/name] after a while. 
I usually take that view as well. And it’s not like I’m TTC or pregnant. I was just wondering what other nn options people have considered or have come up with for [name]Lorelei[/name]. I don’t think I would have thought of [name]Lola[/name] (which seems like a great and fairly logical choice). Thanks.
