Nn for Lucas.. Luke or Luc

Does [name_m]Luke[/name_m] work as a nn for [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] or does [name_m]Luc[/name_m] make more sense? [name_f]My[/name_f] personal preference is [name_m]Luke[/name_m] but wouldn’t want it to be too confusing. TIA!

LUKE!!!

I know a [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] “Luke,” so I think it works well if that’s your preference!

I think both work just fine! But when I hear [name_m]Luc[/name_m] for some reason I just hear ‘Luck’ :joy: I know a lot of Lucas’ that go by [name_m]Luke[/name_m] and I don’t find it confusing at all!

I say them the same… either works. Its a bit like [name_m]Zac[/name_m] vs [name_m]Zach[/name_m] vs [name_m]Zack[/name_m]

I have always love [name_m]Luc[/name_m] as an alternate spelling for [name_m]Luke[/name_m], but both work fine!

[name_f]Every[/name_f] [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] I’ve known goes by [name_m]Luke[/name_m] (this spelling). I honestly would be way more confused if he spelled it [name_m]Luc[/name_m], even if that technically makes more sense.

[name_m]Luke[/name_m] absolutely works

I think [name_m]Luke[/name_m] will be a more intuitive spelling

[name_f]My[/name_f] little brother is [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] nn [name_m]Luke[/name_m] - as far as I know he’s never had issues with it!

Definitely [name_m]Luke[/name_m]! I wouldn’t know how to pronounce [name_m]Luc[/name_m] if I just saw it written separately than [name_m]Lucas[/name_m].

Both work but I prefer [name_m]Luc[/name_m].

I think [name_m]Luke[/name_m] makes enough sense!

If [name_m]Luke[/name_m] is what you prefer, then I think that it definitely works. As someone else said, it’s similar to the whole [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] nickname selection. As a matter of personal opinion though, I prefer [name_m]Luc[/name_m]

[name_m]Luke[/name_m] definitely works and has a clear pronunciation! I prefer it as well.
