I don’t care for “[name]Marj[/name]”, but was wondering if “[name]Rorie[/name]” or “[name]Rory[/name]” could be a nickname for “[name]Marjorie[/name]”. When I pronounce the name, it sounds like “[name]Mar[/name]-jor-ee”, so that “[name]Rory[/name]” sound is there. Or are there other nickname possibilities I’m missing? I’d love your thoughts!
I think [name]Rory[/name] would work, also [name]Gigi[/name] & [name]Madge[/name] could be nn’s.
I think that [name]Rory[/name] would work I also know a [name]Marjorie[/name] that gets called [name]Ree[/name].
I definitely think [name]Rory[/name] would work! [name]Jerri[/name] could work also.
What about [name]Jorie[/name]? [name]Mari[/name]? [name]Marie[/name]? Maggie?
I think [name]Rory[/name] definitely works too!
[name]Rory[/name] absolutely works. But I do find it difficult to say/mumbled sounding.
[name]Maggie[/name] works.
I think [name]Margie[/name] is the freshest option. It reminds me of The Talented Mr [name]Riply[/name] & The Dangerous Lives of Alter Boys. [name]Both[/name] have a character named [name]Marjorie[/name] nn [name]Margie[/name].
I think [name]Jem[/name] works. [name]Mo[/name] works. [name]Even[/name] [name]Marlie[/name].
[name]Rory[/name] is perfect! I also like [name]Mae[/name], [name]Mai[/name], or [name]Joy[/name].
Thanks for all the creative options! I especially like the suggestion of “[name]Ree[/name]”.
I think [name]Rory[/name] is an adorable choice and makes perfect sense.
[name]Rory[/name] is really cute. I also like [name]Ora[/name] which might be a bit of a stretch but it would be a little more unique.
[name]Marjorie[/name], [name]Marjorie[/name]…
If you’d like [name]Margery[/name] is an alternative spelling that’s also nice, - just a suggestion.
[name]Maisie[/name] doesn’t seem impossible! Also, [name]Jodie[/name] & [name]Jojo[/name]. [name]Rory[/name] is a plausible and adorable nn.
[name]Jory[/name], [name]Ory[/name], [name]Maree[/name] and Rie work but there isn’t a ‘ror’ sound in [name]Marjory[/name] to make [name]Rory[/name] make sense. It feels like it’s been plucked from nowhere; if you could use [name]Rory[/name] for [name]Marjory[/name] then why not [name]Cory[/name] or [name]Dory[/name] or [name]Lory[/name]? [name]Aurora[/name] is the only girls name I can think of that works for [name]Rory[/name].
I love the name by itself and think [name]Rory[/name] would be a good nn. I also went to high school with a boy named [name]Jorey[/name] and he was a sweetheart so I have always loved it as a nn & think it would be pretty on a girl.
I vote for [name]Mae[/name] or [name]Maisie[/name]. [name]Both[/name] are very cute!
