[name_f]Vi[/name_f] is a given but any other ideas?
vivi, lettie, lottie?
[name_f]Vi[/name_f] is my favorite !! Anothers : [name_f]Ettie[/name_f] , [name_f]Etta[/name_f] , Vio , [name_u]Ollie[/name_u] , [name_f]Elle[/name_f] .
Besides those above maybe [name_f]Io[/name_f], and I believe I’ve heard Lo, even though that’s not very intuitive it sort of works.
I have heard [name_f]Leta[/name_f] as a nn for [name_f]Violet[/name_f].
Thanks everyone. I’ll ask SO about [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] and [name_f]Lettie[/name_f] and [name_f]Lottie[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Violet[/name_f]! I’m curious about the answers that you’ll get, because I adore [name_f]Violet[/name_f], and wish I could find a nn I liked (just because I’d like to avoid [name_f]Vi[/name_f]), but I don’t especially love [name_f]Lettie[/name_f], either. I’ve heard [name_f]Via[/name_f]/Vio, [name_f]Vivi[/name_f], [name_f]Io[/name_f], [name_f]Lola[/name_f], and [name_f]Lottie[/name_f], but none of them seem very intuitive to me. And [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] seems to make a ton more sense for [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] rather than [name_f]Violet[/name_f] (although I can sort of see [name_f]Violet[/name_f] “[name_f]Lottie[/name_f]”). I sort of like the idea of Liddy/Litty (like [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] [name_m]Bennet[/name_m]'s nn in Pride and Prejudice!), but I think that’s a bit of a stretch.
My first thought (besides [name_f]Vi[/name_f]) was [name_f]Lettie[/name_f], but [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] and [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] are cute too. I think [name_f]Tilly[/name_f] is a big stretch, but it could work too.
