I’ve been thinking about nns for [name]Eleanor[/name] lately, and so far, I’ve come up with:
[name]Elle[/name]/[name]Ella[/name]/[name]Ellie[/name]
[name]Elea[/name]/[name]Lea/name
[name]Nora/name/[name]Norie[/name]
[name]Lena[/name]
[name]Leni[/name]/[name]Eleni[/name]
[name]Nell[/name]/[name]Nellie[/name]
Am I missing any good ones? I feel like I’m missing a good one, but I can’t think of anything else. I don’t want anything too out-there…
Thanks, ladies!
[name]Lenore[/name]
[name]Ellen[/name]
[name]Leora[/name]
[name]Lora[/name]
[name]Elea[/name]
[name]Elaine[/name]/[name]Elena[/name] (I have heard of both)
[name]Nonnie[/name]
[name]Laney[/name]
[name]Annie[/name] (probably a stretch though and maybe a little too similar to [name]Ashley[/name])
[name]Elsie[/name]
[name]Len[/name]
and at a stretch I think you could get, [name]Emme[/name] ([name]Emmie[/name]) or [name]Em[/name] (particularly with an M middle name). I’ve heard of this for [name]Esmerelda[/name].
I particularly like the thought of an [name]Eleanor[/name] nn [name]Elsie[/name] (you could pronounce this [name]Ell[/name]-zee or [name]Ell[/name]-see, depending on which one felt more natural for the name). It hits just the right balance of sweet and spunky. [name]Eleanor[/name] nn [name]Elsie[/name] sounds like a good, sweet, adorable girl but leaves room to be just a tad badass, if you know what I mean. I can imagine a sweet, wholesome Church girl with this name, and it’s is one a teenager could make sound “cool”.
[name]Just[/name] wanted to add [name]Nori[/name]/Nory to the list!
