Personally, I dislike the idea of using a nickname for [name]Henry[/name]. I understand they would have been necessary at one point, as there would have been [name]Henry[/name]'s of all ages running around, often within the same family, but now I honestly can’t see the point – it’s just such a short name. If I had to use a nickname, I’d probably go with [name]Harry[/name], despite its popularity, or [name]Hank[/name].
[name]Henry[/name] is actually a favourite of mine, but it’s just too popular at the moment.
Neither, but I like Harkin, [name]Hawk[/name], [name]Hen[/name].
Would stay away from Hankie.
Well, [name]Henry[/name] is such a charming name on it’s own… but if I had to give little [name]Henry[/name] a nickname it would be Riri (a girlish though…) or [name]Hen[/name] but that too is a female chicken…
I don’t use a nn with my henry, but Dad calls him [name]Hank[/name] on occasion.
I actually love just [name]Henry[/name]. I can’t imagine using a nn for it, but I did really love [name]Harry[/name] before [name]Harry[/name] Styles exploded into popularity, haha. Which is funny, because I like the rest of the band just fine.
[name]Hank[/name]. Although I’d mostly call him [name]Henry[/name]. It’s my second favorite boys’ name.
I would use [name]Hank[/name] or [name]Hal[/name]. I love those nns they are so down to earth, and [name]Hal[/name] is Shakespearian.
But unfortunately I mentioned that I liked the name [name]Henry[/name] to our closest friends when I was pregnant, and they began “claiming” it by telling all our friends that this was their chosen name for their second son, should they have one. So, it would look like I was stealing their name if I used it now. I can’t be too upset, [name]Henry[/name] is a super popular yuppie name. Someone I know was going to use it.
I would love to receive more feedback on this topic. I am very surprised that some our nameberries would prefer the full name of [name]Henry[/name] only as we are known for our love of nicknames. So would you use a nickname and what would it be?
[name]Henry[/name] was my top boy name through four girl pregnancies. If we had had a boy, we would have called him [name]Hank[/name]. I didn’t like this nickname at first but it really grew on me.
Perhaps Hap, although I also like [name]Hal[/name] and [name]Hank[/name]. I’d probably mostly just call him [name]Henry[/name], though.
[name]Just[/name] [name]Henry[/name]. Maybe maybe [name]Hank[/name], def not [name]Harry[/name]. I don’t see the point of a nickname thats just as long as the original name.
I adore the name [name]Henry[/name] and think it’s wonderful on its own. The only nickname I’ve known for [name]Henry[/name] is [name]Hank[/name], but pet names include [name]Hen[/name] and Hankie. I wouldn’t use a nickname for [name]Henry[/name].
I like [name]Hank[/name] for [name]Henry[/name]. [name]Both[/name] are such handsome names.
[name]Hank[/name], that would be the nickname I’d use. There’s also [name]Hal[/name] and [name]Harry[/name], but I’m not really fond of those.
I like [name]Henry[/name] by itself it [name]Hank[/name] is also cute on a little guy.
Are there any others who would just use [name]Henry[/name] and from our UK, Kiwi and Aussie nameberries would you use [name]Harry[/name]?

Thanks tristan I think [name]Henry[/name] will be popular for sometime.

[name]Henry[/name]'s Italian form is [name]Enzo[/name], so that’s a possibility.
Interesting, I didn’t know that. Thanks.
