Ok. Last post got no replies, so I’m giving up this forum for help if nothing turns up this time. I have a daughter named [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] and am expecting a baby boy early next year. As is often the case, Hubby hasn’t really been much help in the naming process. He vetoes almost every name I like and doesn’t offer up any that he likes. I liked [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] and [name_m]Evander[/name_m]; he hated them. We both thought [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] was ok but can’t work with our last name, an adjective word. Think [name_m]Ben[/name_m] (Been) _____. Hubby hates really unique or unusual names. I really don’t care how popular a name is or isn’t at this point. I just want one we can both like. At this point [name_m]Simon[/name_m] is the only name on the table, but I’m just not 100% sold on it yet. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

If your SO really only likes established, regular names, it could help to go down the Top 100-200 list on nameberry with him, and have him point out the names he likes. Then you can start getting somewhere in the discussion.
I like [name_m]Simon[/name_m]! But if you’re not sold, you should keep looking. [name_m]Reading[/name_m] your post, the first two names that came to mind were [name_m]Andrew[/name_m] and [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]. [name_m]Both[/name_m] have at least two nn options (and I’ve grown increasingly fond of [name_u]Lex[/name_u] as a nn for [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]). In addition to those two (sorry for repeats):
