No luck with boys' names so far . . .

[name]Hi[/name]! This post is probably VERY premature, but my husband and I are currently TTC and I have become obsessed with baby names. He’s been a good sport about indulging me, and we’ve just about come up with our perfect girl name–and even possible names for future daughters–but we can’t agree on any boy names. We literally sat down and went through the top 1000 boys’ names of 2009 together–nothing stuck.

Can you very creative and talented namers offer some suggestions? I’ve listed the leaders on our girl list and a few other considerations. Like I said, this is totally jumping-the-gun–but I am a big planner, and I would [name]LOVE[/name] to have 2 solid girl names and 2 solid boy names on my list!

Favorites for girls: (totally open to suggestions on these, too!)
[name]Adelle[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name], nn [name]Ellie[/name] (although he prefers [name]JUST[/name] [name]Ellie[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]. Might also consider [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name].)
[name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Harper[/name], nn [name]Vivie[/name]
(Also like [name]Quinn[/name] . . . but not necessarily in sibset with [name]Adelle[/name] and [name]Vivienne[/name])

Considered for boys:
[name]Sullivan[/name], nn [name]Sully[/name] (not sure on middle name)
[name]Bennett[/name] (he thinks this is out of the running because his brother’s middle name is [name]Benjamin[/name]?)

1-Would possibly like to honor family members with initials J, E, B, L
2-Trying for boys’ names that have double-letters ([name]AdeLLe[/name], [name]VivieNNe[/name], [name]SuLLivan[/name] . . . )–all my favorite girl names seem to have them
3-Our last name is one-syllable, starts with S

Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

First off I don’t think [name]Bennett[/name] is out just because your husbands brothers middle name is [name]Benjamin[/name] (and I think its a great name  )
I think [name]Sullivan[/name] is a great name as well

Ok now for some suggestions…

Double letter names:

Names like [name]Sullivan[/name] & [name]Bennett[/name]:

It seems like you’re going for a last name for a boy’s first name. Here are a few to consider:

Some more double-letter boy names

[name]Cassius[/name] (nn [name]Cas[/name], [name]Cash[/name])
[name]Etienne[/name] (french)
[name]Guillaume[/name] (ditto)
