[name_f]Every[/name_f] name I read, I do not like. With my daughter, her name was so much more simple to choose. It felt 100% right and still does, two years later. I am from a small southern town, coal mines and timber industry is pretty much what is here. I want a strong name for my son, I don’t mind names that lead to nicknames. We have the last name [name_m]Johnson[/name_m], which makes things a little hard for me. I had the name “[name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]” picked out, until I realized the perversion (to an extent) when said with the last name. My husband’s first name is [name_m]Christopher[/name_m], I would like to incorporate his name as a middle name of a sort. My husband was been nicknamed “Binker” since he was a newborn, not many people know his first name is [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]. Here’s the list of names that have been mentioned, but I am up for any suggestions.
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u]
[name_m]Huxley[/name_m]
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u] (husband’s great grandpa)
[name_m]Archer[/name_m]
[name_u]Beck[/name_u] ([name_f]MIL[/name_f] [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f])
[name_m]Forrest[/name_m]
[name_m]Gunnar[/name_m]
I like [name_m]Huxley[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]! Very posh + the cute nn Hux! Or you could name him [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_m]Huxley[/name_m] and then call him Hux/[name_m]Huxley[/name_m] [name_u]Hadley[/name_u] is nice but seems like it’s been taken over by the girls:( [name_m]Archer[/name_m] [name_m]Christian[/name_m] would be very handsome as well! I like [name_m]Forrester[/name_m] better than [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] for some reason, but [name_m]Forrester[/name_m] [name_m]Christian[/name_m] [name_m]Johnson[/name_m] sounds great as well! [name_u]Beck[/name_u] and [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] seem very ‘of the moment’ and [name_m]Gunnar[/name_m] brings up less-than-ideal imagery for me, so those are not my favorites. But I think any of your other options are really nice. Good luck!
You have a great list and my favourites are [name_u]Beck[/name_u] and [name_m]Huxley[/name_m]. Other suggestions of strong names…
[name_m]Mannix[/name_m]
[name_m]Burke[/name_m]
[name_m]Lochlan[/name_m]/[name_m]Locke[/name_m]
[name_m]Holt[/name_m]
[name_m]Benson[/name_m]
[name_m]Brock[/name_m]
[name_m]Merrick[/name_m]
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u]
Ha, I never thought of [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] as saw-yer before. Funny. Sad you can’t use it. I love [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]. Brings to mind [name_m]Archer[/name_m], [name_m]Thayer[/name_m], [name_u]Dexter[/name_u], [name_u]Calder[/name_u], [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]… Not sure they flow so well with [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] though, but middle name won’t be used all the time so not a deal-breaker.
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u] - nice name, but not with [name_m]Johnson[/name_m]. too rhymey.
[name_m]Huxley[/name_m] - not my favorite, but works well with [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] and [name_m]Johnson[/name_m].
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u] (husband’s great grandpa) - love the family significance, though I feel like this name has gone to the girls unfortunately. If unisex/leaning to girls doesn’t bother you, go for it! I think it’s great name.
[name_m]Archer[/name_m] - love.
[name_u]Beck[/name_u] ([name_f]MIL[/name_f] [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f]) - cute. [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] nn [name_u]Beck[/name_u] would be my pref.
[name_m]Forrest[/name_m] - nice.
[name_m]Gunnar[/name_m] - I feel like this is a bit macho sounding with [name_m]Johnson[/name_m], but it does sound good.

[name_u]Ellis[/name_u]
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u]
[name_m]Bennett[/name_m]
just some ideas! Good luck.
I also live in a small coal town. Too bad you can’t use [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u], it’s a great name. I love [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] and I think [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_m]Johnson[/name_m] sounds great. I prefer [name_u]Hadley[/name_u] on a girl and I’m not a fan of [name_m]Gunnar[/name_m]. [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] is nice but I don’t think it goes with [name_m]Johnson[/name_m].

[name_m]Beckett[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]!
I love all of your options! I like [name_m]Huxley[/name_m] but would use the nn [name_m]Huck[/name_m]. So cute! My other favorite is [name_u]Beck[/name_u] (I love the subtle connection to your [name_f]MIL[/name_f]) and really adore the suggestions of using it as a nn for [name_m]Beckett[/name_m]!
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u] - I actually like this name! It’s nice and easy to spell. What about [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]?
[name_m]Huxley[/name_m] - Not a huge lover of this name!
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u] - This is also a lovely name!
[name_m]Archer[/name_m] - Not a fan of this one either! [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Asher[/name_m]?
[name_u]Beck[/name_u] - Not a fan. Sorry.
[name_m]Forrest[/name_m] - I really love this name!
[name_m]Gunnar[/name_m] - Not too keen on this name! Sounds made up to me. Sorry.
Daughter’s name is [name_f]Maci[/name_f] [name_u]Lynn[/name_u]. [name_f]Maci[/name_f] is my maternal great grandmother’s name. [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] is my mother’s childhood nickname. We usually call her by both names “[name_f]Maci[/name_f] [name_u]Lynn[/name_u]”. Still no boy names yet. I have not heard one name that actually sticks
I love [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_m]Huxley[/name_m] / [name_m]Huxley[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]/ [name_m]Forest[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]
With [name_f]Maci[/name_f], I like:
[name_m]Zane[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]
[name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] nn [name_u]Dash[/name_u]

[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]
[name_m]Thayer[/name_m]
[name_m]Bennett[/name_m]
[name_u]Blake[/name_u]
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u]–I like [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] but not with [name_m]Johnson[/name_m] (both -son endings are too much for me)
[name_m]Huxley[/name_m]–I’m not loving this…maybe as a mn…[name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_m]Huxley[/name_m].
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u]–I know it’s a surname and typically male…but I prefer this one on a girl.
[name_m]Archer[/name_m]–okay. Not great with [name_m]Christopher[/name_m]. Maybe you could use your husbands mn.
[name_u]Beck[/name_u]–love [name_u]Beck[/name_u] as a nn for [name_m]Beckett[/name_m]. [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_m]Johnson[/name_m] is very nice.
[name_m]Forrest[/name_m]–I just cannot get past the [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] Gump association.
[name_m]Gunnar[/name_m]–not a fan (but I’m just not a fan of very many G names)
[name_m]Beckett[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_m]Johnson[/name_m] definitely gets my vote.
