No Nonsense Names , Cute, With A Touch Of Vintage

It seems names come in waves… [name]One[/name] minute the girls are easiest an the next it’s the boys! Right now we are stuggling with girls. We [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] [name]LOVE[/name] our boys names and just can’t seem to find any more for girls! Here is what our boys list looks like-

[name]Liam[/name] [name]Parker[/name]
[name]Merrick[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Rhett[/name] [name]Maverick[/name]
[name]Flynn[/name] [name]Ignatius[/name]
[name]Callen[/name]
[name]Declan[/name]
Macoy

I guess they are all sort of old western sounding. Strong yet soft, no nonsense names with a touch of vintage yet not overly classic. The only for sure names on our list are

[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Louisa[/name] (ivy [name]Lou[/name])
[name]Cora[/name]

We also have tossed around
[name]Nadia[/name]
[name]Natalia[/name] (hubby’s favorite but I just don’t love it!)
[name]Chiara[/name]
[name]Keeva[/name]
[name]Lila[/name]

They are all ok, im just not blown away by any of those. They’re too modern or unfamiliar for my taste. Any ideas to match the style of our boys!?

[name]Rosalie[/name]/[name]Rosaline[/name]

[name]Edith[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name]

[name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Iris[/name]
[name]Vivian[/name]
[name]Clara[/name]
[name]Clementine[/name]
[name]Imogen[/name]

Good luck!

I could see…

[name]Zora[/name]
[name]Molly[/name]
[name]Gia[/name]
[name]Vera[/name]
[name]Lana[/name]
[name]Lara[/name]
[name]Lola[/name]
[name]Tessa[/name]
[name]Meredith[/name]
[name]Corinne[/name]
[name]Olive[/name]
[name]Louise[/name]/[name]Louisa[/name]
[name]Thora[/name]
[name]June[/name]
[name]Hazel[/name]
[name]Nina[/name]
[name]Fern[/name]
[name]Susan[/name]
[name]Etta[/name]
[name]Elsa[/name]
[name]Elise[/name]

[name]Isla[/name].

It’s cute, and vintage, and it is Scottish (like some of the irish/scottish sounding names from your boys list).

Also, [name]Stella[/name].

Thanks for all of your lovely suggestions! We got a yes for [name]Lola[/name]! Which actually has kind of a cute connection to the time when my husband and I met. But not sure if I could bring myself to use it. I think of [name]Lola[/name] the bunny rabbit and also the song ‘whatever [name]Lola[/name] wants, [name]Lola[/name] gets’… Seems very sultry, like the name of a stripper! But at the same time I can see the opposite… An adorable little tomboy redhead named [name]Lola[/name]! What do you think?

love [name]Lola[/name]

[name]Lola[/name] is sweet and she’ll be your [name]Lola[/name]!

[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Louise[/name] is lovely

I read your description and immediately thought [name]Jane[/name].

[name]Jane[/name] to me is cute no nonsense with a touch of vintage.

I second [name]Stella[/name] and [name]Clara[/name].

other names you might like:
[name]Margaret[/name]
[name]Julia[/name]
[name]Eve[/name]
[name]Rosemary[/name]
[name]Veronica[/name]
[name]Marian[/name]
[name]Ava[/name]
[name]Della[/name]
[name]Ginger[/name]
[name]Irene[/name]
[name]June[/name]
[name]Laurel[/name]
[name]Sabrina[/name]
[name]Vanessa[/name]
[name]Rosalind[/name]

[name]Lola[/name] is cute, perky but not “no nonsense”. I see [name]Lola[/name] as too whimsical for your taste.
Good [name]Luck[/name]!

What about [name]Ruby[/name], [name]Rena[/name], [name]Kate[/name], [name]Maya[/name], [name]Maggie[/name], [name]Lucy[/name], [name]Alice[/name], [name]Molly[/name]?

Thanks for the suggestions! [name]Jane[/name] actually for some reason doesn’t feel vintage to me. It feels more just like a filler name.

I do however like [name]June[/name]! Maybe for a middle name. [name]Maya[/name] is cute. I will suggest It to hubby  [name]Kate[/name] would make a good middle as well, just not for [name]Cora[/name]. And I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Lucy[/name] but its a no go for the hubby. He gave [name]Lucille[/name] a maybe for a middle for [name]Cora[/name] but then decided he didn’t like it.
