[name_m]Hi[/name_m]!
If baby is a boy we are considering the name [name_u]Noah[/name_u]. We already have a [name_m]Henry[/name_m] so we aren’t afraid of popular names. But, is [name_u]Noah[/name_u] just TOO overused?
Thank you!

Bump please
Honestly? I think it is. But if you love it, go for it!
Similar sounding names:
[name_u]Noel[/name_u]
[name_m]Nolan[/name_m]
[name_f]Nova[/name_f]
[name_m]Joah[/name_m]
Yea its fairly popular, but like previously posted if you love it then go ahead!
I think that depends where you live - stats-wise it’s pretty popular, but I live in the UK, and I’ve only ever met one [name_u]Noah[/name_u]. It’s a lovely name and it goes so well with [name_m]Henry[/name_m]!
I don’t think so. Yes, it’s the #1 boys name in the united States, but it’s given to less than 1% of boys. Compare that to the 1880 stats for the top boys name [name_m]John[/name_m]: over 8% of boys received that name that year.
Certainly some names can be too trendy, but I’m not sure any name can truly be overused anymore. I wouldn’t worry about it.
Depends on where you live. Two or so years ago, I didn’t hear that name anywhere. Now, however, I swear that every second or third boy born nearby is named [name_u]Noah[/name_u]. In fact, two girls I went to school with just had sons named [name_u]Noah[/name_u]. I’ve heard it so much that it has lost any and all appeal to me whatsoever. It’s just a tired choice, it seems. If popularity doesn’t bother you, then you’re fine regardless.
If popularity does not worry you (and that does depend on where you live) I think you should go for it, [name_u]Noah[/name_u] And [name_m]Henry[/name_m] are lovely names for brothers.
Depends on whereabouts you are, this can tell you the most popular names by state which might help: Popular Names by State
If you do decide it’s too popular these are some others you might like:
[name_u]Owen[/name_u], [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], [name_m]Jasper[/name_m], [name_u]Rhys[/name_u], [name_m]Miles[/name_m], [name_u]Jude[/name_u], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], [name_m]Felix[/name_m], [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], [name_u]Finn[/name_u], [name_m]Arthur[/name_m]
Totally depends on your exact area if you’re [name_u]North[/name_u] American. It may be number one in certain states, but where I am it’s not anymore. Five years ago I would have said yes.
This is kind of an afterthought, but it’s been in the news lately as [name_u]Michael[/name_u] Buble’s little boy is sick (so sad). However, he lives near me so I hear it in the news a lot here. So its “overexposed” to me I guess.
My initial thought is yes. However, I’m realizing I’ve only run across a couple. So, go for it!
