This will probably be a post and run bc I have to do school pick up.
Dd1 is [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f] named after my parents
Dd2 is [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] just bc we liked it
This time baby is a boy. Dd1 would have been [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] [name_u]Michael[/name_u] which I’m not really into this time. Dd2 would have been [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m].
This time I wasn’t so sure about [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] bc our last name is 2 syllables and ends in -il. Slightly different sound but close. Also I googled [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] and found a murderer and a separate story about a child molester both n[name_m]Amed[/name_m] [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] so I definitely need a new middle name.
All along I’ve been liking [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m], [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] bc I met mh on St [name_m]Patrick[/name_m]'s day. When I say it with the girls names though it doesn’t seem right and [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] does.
Am I overthinking this? I’m sure I am
So tl:dr [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] or [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m]? Other ideas?
Slightly different sound but still the same. I settled on [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] (but it’s not my favorite
I think you may be over thinking it a bit, but that’s understandable! I don’t think anyone would make the connection between your son ([name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m]) and the murderer or child molester (for example, I have no idea who he is). I say it’s totally usable! If you’re really really really against using it, then my vote is for [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m], because it’s a handsome solid name and it’s a name you love and a name that has meaning to you. Without knowing your surname, it’s hard to say whether or not [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] works, but I like [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] a lot more than [name_m]Nolan[/name_m]. Plus it sounds better with your girls’ names!!
I adore [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]! I am not a huge fan of [name_m]Nolan[/name_m], it is the surname of a family I know. Given that, I think you are right that [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] fits better with your daughters’ names.
I am considering both names as well. I prefer [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m], because it is an actual first name. Fits the classic, but not too popular criteria. To me it just feels like a strong name for a boy. It also sounds great with your sibset.
I love [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] with your girls names. I like [name_m]Nolan[/name_m], but not as much as [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] and it doesn’t go with the sibset. Does it sound bad with your last name? Or is it just the look or idea of similar ending sounds? If it sounds ok, I would go with it. I like it with both [name_m]John[/name_m] and [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and would not worry about the results of your search. If it was a well known person like Ted Bundy or something that would be an issue. [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] is one of my fav middle names though:-)
I love [name_m]Nolan[/name_m]! They give me very different vibes. [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] to me is smart and sassy whereas [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] is athletic and sweet. Best of luck.
