In order to fully help convince my husband, could you help us and tell us how you feel about this name, and what traits/personality etc. it brings to mind? Is it too different? Sounds like [name]Nolan[/name], which I like on boys.
I really like Welsh names and honestly, Celtic names as a whole. [name]Nolwenn[/name] is really quite nice, but if you’re in the US (or [name]Canada[/name]) I don’t think it would work very well.
[name]Elowen[/name] may be a good alternative.

We live in [name]Canada[/name]… As for [name]Elowen[/name], we did consider it but my husband decided it reminded him too much of the word Halloween. Men…

I’ve gone back and forth on this name. It’s one of those names that looks nice, but saying it out loud tends to be a bit awkward because the stress seems to be on both syllables (at least the way I’m pronouncing it.) I love the “nol” and “wenn” sounds separately, but together doesn’t really seem to flow! [name]Do[/name] you like the name [name]Nola[/name]? [name]Winola[/name]? [name]Winona[/name]? Best of luck

[name]Olwen[/name] might get mixed up with [name]Owen[/name] a lot. I actually prefer [name]Nolwenn[/name]. I think [name]Nolwenn[/name] is pretty, but I love Welsh names to begin with.
