[name_m]Hi[/name_m], I am a mommy of a beautiful little girl whom we named [name_f]Elanor[/name_f] [name_u]Skye[/name_u]. Sheis almost 3 and now I am expecting baby #2. I don’t know the gender yet so I am only collecting suggestions for both, a boy and a girl. We didn’t have any problems with naming our first daughter. I love both meanings of [name_f]Elanor[/name_f]: it can mean ‘God is my light’ in Hebrew; in Sindarin it means ‘star sun’, a little flower that grows in Lothlorien, (yes, we love Tolkien). I affectionately call her Noni or Noey. Her grandparents call her [name_f]Ella[/name_f]. [name_f]Elanor[/name_f]'s middle name honors our Scottish heritage (we are family of Scottish/Irish/English roots) and the beautiful [name_f]Isle[/name_f] of [name_u]Skye[/name_u] where we spent two weeks during our honeymoon back in 2015.
Girl names we love:
[name_f]Iona[/name_f]
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] ([name_f]Fae[/name_f])
[name_u]Arya[/name_u]
Nienna
[name_f]Elenna[/name_f] (too close to [name_f]Elanor[/name_f]?)
Boy names we love:
[name_m]Dougal[/name_m]
[name_u]Orrie[/name_u]
[name_u]Calder[/name_u]
We are definitely looking for something similar but not too matchy. If you have any suggestions, please share with us. It can be Scottish/Gaelic (to honor our roots) or Tolkien related… or anything, really! I love starry night sky, my husband loves sailing and anything related to the ocean: wild water, deep blue colour, brisk air or calm azure waters.
