We like the middle name Wren to pay tribute to my beautiful friend Karen (without using the actual name Karen) but it isn’t set in stone and we’d consider other middle names.
both of these names are my favorites!! so gorgeous. but in this case i think i prefer the flow of [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. i also think it goes better with your kids names!
These are both sort of tongue twisters for me…. -ra [name_u]Wren[/name_u] and the two different W pronunciations are hard on my brain. Both make me want to say [name_u]Wren[/name_u] as [name_u]Wynn[/name_u].
I prefer [name_f]Nora[/name_f] but [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] doesn’t quite work. To honour [name_f]Karen[/name_f] you could perhaps go [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]Kay[/name_u]?
Overall I like [name_f]Willa[/name_f] over [name_f]Nora[/name_f] but with the middle name being [name_u]Wren[/name_u] I would choose [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]
I love [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] for you! So sweet. I’ll also suggest Kerensa/Kerenza as another way to honor a [name_f]Karen[/name_f]
I prefer [name_f]Nora[/name_f] in general, but [name_f]Willa[/name_f] with mn [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] is a gorgeous combo (and I love the meaning you’ve shared for it).
I like both but with the middle [name_u]Wren[/name_u], I would go with [name_f]Willa[/name_f]. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] is too tongue-twistery to me.
And I like how all your kids would share the letters I, L, and A while having their own distinct names; Zali, [name_f]Alira[/name_f], & [name_f]Willa[/name_f] sounds like such a cohesive sibset to me!
Thank you so much everyone. I love all your advice.
[name_f]My[/name_f] husband loves the name [name_f]Nora[/name_f] most but I also feel that [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] is quite hard to say.
We keep coming back to these two names but also can’t seem to find any other middle names we like. It’s so hard when you’ve already used names you love.
[name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] is so lovely! I personally struggle with R sounds, and did even more as a child, so if my name was [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] I would probably struggle to say my name. Otherwise, I think [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is a great option, just with a different middle name! Either way, I still do prefer [name_f]Willa[/name_f] to [name_f]Nora[/name_f] — it’s one of my favorite names
