[name_m]Just[/name_m] wondering what your thoughts are on the combo [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] vs [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Norah[/name_f] are both in honor of family. [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] is a long time favorite of mine…since childhood when I saw it in a [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Maud[/name_f] [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m] book! [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is a family and name and again a long time favorite since childhood. I’d love to know your thoughts! Thanks berries! ![]()
I like the first name of [name_f]Norah[/name_f] over [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] so that would be my vote. I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] but that could just be me as it seems to be a favorite on Nameberrry.
[name_m]Both[/name_m] combos are nice though. (Names are when they honor someone)
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is (please don’t be offended) boring. These are two extremely well known names, that could use some spicing up. I like to say 1 family name per name. What if you used these as 2 middles and gave her a more interesting first? Or a variant of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] ex. [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] is NMS and [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] is my cousin’s name (and I love her, her name is meh). But this is a lot more exciting than [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], so this one gets my vote!
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] might be a bit boring, but it sounds lovely to me. I wouldn’t use [name_f]Norah[/name_f]/[name_f]Nora[/name_f] as a full name.
I love [name_f]Norah[/name_f] but I really dislike [name_f]Corinne[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] would be really pretty.
I tend to like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] more … And even thought [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is to honor someone I’m close to , I agree it can sound a bit dull. But at the same time I love it! Thanks for your input everyone.
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]! [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is one of my very favourite girls’ names so pretty much any combo with it up front would get my pick. You could spice it up by using a [name_f]Rose[/name_f] variant- [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] or [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] sound beautiful. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is so sophisticated and elegant and refined, while being familiar, down-to-earth, and totally unpretentious. I think of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] I and II, and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_m]Bennet[/name_m]- and there are so many other great connections. Also, an [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] could make her name her own- spunky [name_f]Lizzie[/name_f] or [name_f]Liza[/name_f], soft-spoken [name_f]Beth[/name_f], sweetheart [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]…
I think [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a lovely name. Okay, so it’s not exciting like some of these combos – it’s ultimately classic and timeless through and through. I don’t see anything wrong with that. I think maybe we all getting a little caught up in there needing to be an element of surprise somewhere in a name.
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Corrine[/name_f] – I think this combo is struggling with fluidity. I think it might be worth looking at other options besides [name_f]Corrine[/name_f] since [name_f]Norah[/name_f] is the honor name. But if you love it, then go for it. If the point is to use an honor name, then that is more important than flow. We generally don’t go by our first and middle names anyway.
One thought: [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] – also lovely, and I think [name_f]Norah[/name_f] is a little fresh than [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].
Loooove the name [name_f]Norah[/name_f] so I definitely saying go for [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] lol. Plus, honouring family is a bonus…gorgeous names!
[name_m]Both[/name_m] are beautiful. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite combo as a whole would be [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] because I love both names. I love [name_f]Norah[/name_f] (although spelled [name_f]Nora[/name_f], I understand why you would use [name_f]Norah[/name_f]). I personally do not care for [name_f]Corinne[/name_f], sorry. I love [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], and [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
I love both! I prefer the [name_f]Nora[/name_f] spelling though…and loveee the suggestion of [name_f]Nora[/name_f]/h [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]!
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Corrine[/name_f]! I love it. I would spell it [name_f]Nora[/name_f], but I still really like [name_f]Norah[/name_f]. [name_f]Corrine[/name_f] is so beautiful, I love it. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a bit boring. I find [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] generally boring, and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is such a normal middle name that I find the combo boring. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Corrine[/name_f] or [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Corinne[/name_f]? if you want to use both names.
[name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] by far! I would probably use [name_f]Nora[/name_f] (one of my faves) and I also adore [name_f]Corinne[/name_f]! [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], as someone said already, is a bit boring.
I like the names [name_f]Norah[/name_f] and [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] more, but [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] flows better than [name_f]Nor[/name_f]- [name_m]Cor[/name_m]-, both 2 syllables. I would pick [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] myself! Or [name_f]Coralie[/name_f]/[name_f]Coraline[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Norah[/name_f] and [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] a lot individually, but I agree that the repeated _or sound is a little much. Personally, [name_f]Norah[/name_f] is my favorite out of the four names you listed, so I would go with either [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]! So classic and lovely.
I’m going to have to go with [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. I don’t like the “[name_f]Nor[/name_f]-[name_m]Cor[/name_m]” sound of [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Corinne[/name_f]. It just falls flat. While [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is pretty, it’s become quite a generic mn choice. Have you consider [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Corinne[/name_f]?
Wow, I’m surprised at how much berries hate my original name
[name_f]My[/name_f] given name was [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], and when I started university I ultimately changed my name to [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].
I like the suggestion of [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] though.
I’m in favor of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f], because of the repeated [name_f]Nor[/name_f]-[name_m]Cor[/name_m]… I dislike it. [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] would be a better choice.
