I’d like to add [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] to my girls’ shortlist, but I’m struggling to find a usable combo for it which I love as much as the others on my list.
I really like the sound of [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_f]Moon[/name_f] but I wouldn’t use two “out there” names together in real life, especially two celestial names with such similar meanings.
Any ideas for something a little more grounded and traditional which would complement [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] without being overshadowed by it?
[name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]
[name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f]
[name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f]
[name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_f]Willa[/name_f]
[name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_f]Jerusha[/name_f]
[name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_f]Elise[/name_f]
[name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_f]Thea[/name_f]
[name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]
a couple of them are a little more out there, but sound pretty with [name_u]Vesper[/name_u]
I seem to really like the cadence of [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] + 3-syllable name with stress on first syllable… though I also like [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_f]Olive[/name_f] and [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_f]Agnes[/name_f] a lot.
I love a ton of the other suggestions too ([name_f]Louisa[/name_f], [name_f]Linnea[/name_f], [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f]…) but names that end in -a don’t flow very well in my accent, as it’s the exact same sound as the end of [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] (“VESS-puh”).
Not sure if this is totally “normal” sounding but [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] Edelweiss is so beautiful [name_f]IMO[/name_f], I also like [name_f]Elise[/name_f]/[name_u]Eloise[/name_u]
@anothersunnyday [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] Edelweiss is indeed stunning, but I’m after something a little more traditional!
[name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] is a great suggestion, thank you to those who suggested it. I wish I loved [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] - it’s spunky, vintage and exactly my style, but I just don’t really like the sound of it. Maybe if I mull it over for a little while something will finally click…
My favorite of your current options is [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]. It’s starry, romantic, and swoonworthy with the rest of your list!
Some other 3-syllable suggestions, keeping in mind the pronunciation of [name_u]Vesper[/name_u] you use:
