I love the name [name_u]North[/name_u] for both genders.
So my question is what gender do you prefer [name_u]North[/name_u] for?
Thanks ![]()

MUCH prefer it for a boy.
I like it for a compass.
Joking aside, I prefer it for a boy, and I prefer it to be used if your surname isn’t another direction.
It could be short for something surnamey like Northall, Northam, Northley, Northway and so on.
I never even thought it was used as a name until [name_u]North[/name_u] [name_u]West[/name_u] came along, so it’s now all girl to me.
I think it’s very masculine, but consider it a cross between a nature and place name and find most of those to be unisex. It’s definitely got a strong, masculine sound though.
Agreed! A nickname for something more substantial on a boy is my preference too.
[name_u]North[/name_u] [name_u]West[/name_u] has established it as a girls’ name, but I think it would work better on a boy.
Masculine for me.
Girl name to me
I prefer [name_u]North[/name_u] for a boy but I think it works for a girl
I say boy, but either way [name_m]Kanye[/name_m] ruined it.
I had always known it as a boy’s name, and it is still far more masculine to me than feminine.
It really came across masculine when I first heard it.
I can see it on both genders, but I would still prefer it on a boy.
[But overall, I am not that fond of it. But that wasn’t what you asked.]
Neither, I’d rather see it on a compass.
I guess it is quite unisex. I cant decide
