I don’t really watch this channel, but I know that there’s a family on youtube that has like 16 kids (some through adoption). Apparently these are all of their names. What are your thoughts? What would you name your 16 kids? Also the middle names and former names I found on a wiki page so I don’t know if it’s accurate or not. I’ve only seen a few videos just out of curiosity.
Not a fan of the capital letters in the middle. I’d keep the boys’ first names the same, and change the girls to [name_u]Kennedy[/name_u], [name_u]Journey[/name_u], [name_u]Cassidy[/name_u], [name_f]Jaine[/name_f] (I think [name_u]Lee[/name_u] might be her middle?), [name_f]Lilly[/name_f], [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_u]Navy[/name_u], [name_u]Paisley[/name_u], [name_u]Delaney[/name_u], [name_u]Presley[/name_u], & [name_f]Elsie[/name_f]. I’d also change KennaDee, PaisLee, & [name_m]Ledger[/name_m]’s middle names.
I probably wouldn’t choose these names on my own but given what their names are my biggest issue is that they leaned so hard into the weird spelling, otherwise most of them are perfectly fine names. It’s one thing to have a pattern it’s another to change the spelling of recognized names just to make it really clear that you named your kids in a pattern. Also it bothers me that they forced the pattern so hard with their daughters but didn’t with their sons they clearly started with Bs and then just gave up on it when the clearly forced all their daughters names to fit the mold I just find it odd. Also we’re all these kids babies when they were adopted? Because otherwise they changed most of their names so drastically that they aren’t even similar which just feels like a lot of change for a kid.
Yes I figured those were the adopted children but it doesn’t say how old they were when they were adopted. If a child is old enough that they know their name changing it so drastically seems problematic
There is actually. The mom had a cousin named BriAnna. And her mom would always sing her a song about the capital letter so ever since she was little she wanted to put a capital in. And after the first two girls KennaDee and KassaDee it was a … well now the next girl will feel left out and it spiraled
So they actually explain this all. Most of the kids were adopted as children not babies and had a say in changing their name. First asked if they wanted to. And second given like a whole list to choose from. Low key been liek guilty pleasure binging them recently. Not normally a fan of most of these names but they all like perfectly fit the kids. The mom does a crazy good job of respecting each of her kids individuality and different backgrounds and how they found the family.
Personally, I don’t love the theme but I think because they are such a big family, their kids will likely view this as something special shared between them.
I also think it’s easier to be okay with a “different” name if many people in your family share it as you’re bound to be close to some of them, and then the name theme makes for a special bond, if that makes any sense?!
From what I know of Russian names, I believe these children’s original names are in the wrong order i.e. Kukleva and Kuzovskin are surnames rather than first names.
