I am due in one month. My last name starts with a hard HER. Originally, to flow with the last name, I wanted only names ending in the [name]AH[/name] sounds (like [name]Noah[/name]), or names ending in a vowel, but there are not a ton of boys names that satisfy that criteria. Then i shifted to just wanting a name that wasn’t too “traditional” but not too unusual.
My husband loves [name]Milo[/name]. I think it is cute, but just cannot get behind it for a lifetime.
I haven’t really discussed names with people, so I have gotten zero feedback on my contenders (except from my husband).

thank you for your feedback! micah was the first name i liked. although i said i have not discussed names with anyone, I should clarify – i told my mom about micah and the first thing she said was, “isn’t that a girl’s name?” I haven’t shared my names since!
that is pretty much the only reason i backed away from it.
Here’s another vote for [name]Miles[/name] [name]Augustus[/name] with the option of nn [name]Milo[/name]-- love! But the only [name]Milo[/name] I know is a middle aged southern politician, so I can definitely picture it on a grown man. I see where you’re coming from, though.
[name]Miles[/name] has a subtle pronunciation so I think it would be best to go with your hard HER surname. Maybe a different mn since [name]Charles[/name] has a hard H sound?
