I’ve recently fallen in love with a few names but am not sure if I should add them to my short list ( names to actually use ). What so you think?

[name_f]Calliope[/name_f] – love it. Very pretty but it might have pronunciation problems

[name_u]Delaney[/name_u] – I dislike it. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t know why, just do. I think it sounds a bit childish

[name_f]Vera[/name_f] – This makes me think of the bunny people from Final [name_f]Fantasy[/name_f] (though it’s spelled differently)

[name_u]Luca[/name_u] ( it’s a boy name but I think a girl could pull it off) – To me, it has very masculine sounds. [name_m]Luke[/name_m] is very prominent in there. [name_m]Just[/name_m] because it ends in A doesn’t make it a girls name. There are tons of girl names starting with [name_m]LUC[/name_m] and ending in A that are better [name_f]IMO[/name_f]

[name_f]Calliope[/name_f] – Not sure it’s usable [name_m]IRL[/name_m], for pronunciation reasons.
[name_f]Brigitte[/name_f] – I like it, but I prefer [name_f]Brigid[/name_f] or [name_f]Bridget[/name_f]. I always feel like the french pronunciations sound kind of snooty.
[name_u]Delaney[/name_u] – I think it seems trendy and childish. I really dislike the nickname [name_u]Laney[/name_u]…it’s up there with [name_f]Maddie[/name_f] (makes me cringe).
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] – I actually like it, but I think [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] is more modern and wearable. (The nickname [name_f]Addie[/name_f] makes me cringe, too, though.)
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] – I like it, but it’s not love for me. I think it’s just too fancy for my taste LOL!
[name_f]Viola[/name_f] – I personally like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] better.
[name_f]Vera[/name_f] – I think it’s alright, but it reminds me of those [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_u]Bradley[/name_u] purses my mom likes.
[name_f]Amira[/name_f] – I like [name_f]Meera[/name_f]/[name_f]Mira[/name_f] better.
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] – It’s fine, but it sounds like the name of a nun to me. Not that there’s anything wrong with that!
[name_u]Tatum[/name_u] – I knew a little girl with this name. She was cute, but I just couldn’t get used to it. It makes me think of potatoes.
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] – I actually like this one, but I wouldn’t use it personally. It just seems too trendy.
[name_f]Harlow[/name_f] – Sounds too much like harlot. I wouldn’t saddle a girl with that.
[name_u]Luca[/name_u] – It’s all boy to me. There are plenty of other [name_m]Luc[/name_m]- names for girls to choose from anyway.
I feel like I kind of just ragged on all your names, sorry! They’re really all usable, some more than others. If you love them, you could definitely add almost any of them to your short list. We just have different taste in names.
I don’t really like any of the masculine sounding names because they’re just not my style - that includes [name_u]Luca[/name_u], Harlowe, [name_u]Harper[/name_u] and [name_u]Tatum[/name_u]. I love, however, [name_f]Amira[/name_f], [name_f]Viola[/name_f] and [name_f]Brigitte[/name_f]. [name_f]Amira[/name_f] would be my top pick.
I’m not a fan of [name_u]Delaney[/name_u], [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], [name_u]Harper[/name_u], or [name_u]Luca[/name_u] on a girl. The rest are fine, just not exactly my style.
