Not so sure?!?

I’ve recently fallen in love with a few names but am not sure if I should add them to my short list ( names to actually use ). What so you think?
[name_u]Luca[/name_u] ( it’s a boy name but I think a girl
Could pull it off)

Honest opinions would be really appreciated !

[name_f]Isadora[/name_f] - I like!
[name_f]Calliope[/name_f] - I like this!
[name_f]Brigitte[/name_f] - It’s ok. But I know at least 4/5 mean [name_f]Brigitte[/name_f]/[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] ect. and only 1 or 2 nice ones, so it sort of leaves a sour taste.
[name_u]Delaney[/name_u] - I knew a really mean girl named this…
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] - Like! [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]?
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - Really like!
[name_f]Viola[/name_f] - [name_f]LOVE[/name_f]!
[name_f]Vera[/name_f] - [name_f]Vera[/name_f] Wang? Hm, idk it’s NMS.
[name_f]Amira[/name_f] - I like this one!
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] - Pretty. A bit dated/frilly for me, but it is nice.
[name_u]Tatum[/name_u] - Like [name_u]Channing[/name_u] [name_u]Tatum[/name_u]? Noooo.
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] - Same as Harlowe
[name_f]Harlow[/name_f] - One of those names I really dislike. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_u]Marlowe[/name_u]?
[name_u]Luca[/name_u] ( it’s a boy name but I think a girl could pull it off) - hm, I disagree. This is a boys name [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
Top Options: [name_f]Viola[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], [name_f]Adeline[/name_f].
Bottom: [name_u]Luca[/name_u], [name_u]Harper[/name_u], [name_u]Tatum[/name_u].

[name_f]Isadora[/name_f] – I really like it but I prefer it spelled the original way [name_f]Isidora[/name_f]
[name_f]Calliope[/name_f] – love it. Very pretty but it might have pronunciation problems
[name_f]Brigitte[/name_f] – I prefer [name_f]Bridget[/name_f]
[name_u]Delaney[/name_u] – I dislike it. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t know why, just do. I think it sounds a bit childish
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] – This name always makes me think of Marmalade
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] – [name_f]Love[/name_f] it. It has tons of nicknames for every type of girl (I like [name_f]Evie[/name_f])
[name_f]Viola[/name_f] – [name_f]Love[/name_f] this too. I like it vi-oh-lah (vi like high). [name_f]Do[/name_f] you say it vi or vee?
[name_f]Vera[/name_f] – This makes me think of the bunny people from Final [name_f]Fantasy[/name_f] (though it’s spelled differently)
[name_f]Amira[/name_f] – I prefer [name_f]Amara[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] – I dislike it. It’s nice enough but I just don’t like it
[name_u]Tatum[/name_u] – I knew a girl named this. I don’t mind it. It’s one of the few boyish names I don’t mind on a girl
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] – I really like it but I prefer [name_u]Piper[/name_u].
[name_f]Harlow[/name_f] – I dislike it. It has a boring sound to me
[name_u]Luca[/name_u] ( it’s a boy name but I think a girl could pull it off) – To me, it has very masculine sounds. [name_m]Luke[/name_m] is very prominent in there. [name_m]Just[/name_m] because it ends in A doesn’t make it a girls name. There are tons of girl names starting with [name_m]LUC[/name_m] and ending in A that are better [name_f]IMO[/name_f]

[name_f]Isadora[/name_f] – It’s a fine name, just NMS.
[name_f]Calliope[/name_f] – Not sure it’s usable [name_m]IRL[/name_m], for pronunciation reasons.
[name_f]Brigitte[/name_f] – I like it, but I prefer [name_f]Brigid[/name_f] or [name_f]Bridget[/name_f]. I always feel like the french pronunciations sound kind of snooty.
[name_u]Delaney[/name_u] – I think it seems trendy and childish. I really dislike the nickname [name_u]Laney[/name_u]…it’s up there with [name_f]Maddie[/name_f] (makes me cringe).
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] – I actually like it, but I think [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] is more modern and wearable. (The nickname [name_f]Addie[/name_f] makes me cringe, too, though.)
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] – I like it, but it’s not love for me. I think it’s just too fancy for my taste LOL!
[name_f]Viola[/name_f] – I personally like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] better.
[name_f]Vera[/name_f] – I think it’s alright, but it reminds me of those [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_u]Bradley[/name_u] purses my mom likes.
[name_f]Amira[/name_f] – I like [name_f]Meera[/name_f]/[name_f]Mira[/name_f] better.
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] – It’s fine, but it sounds like the name of a nun to me. Not that there’s anything wrong with that!
[name_u]Tatum[/name_u] – I knew a little girl with this name. She was cute, but I just couldn’t get used to it. It makes me think of potatoes.
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] – I actually like this one, but I wouldn’t use it personally. It just seems too trendy.
[name_f]Harlow[/name_f] – Sounds too much like harlot. I wouldn’t saddle a girl with that.
[name_u]Luca[/name_u] – It’s all boy to me. There are plenty of other [name_m]Luc[/name_m]- names for girls to choose from anyway.

I feel like I kind of just ragged on all your names, sorry! They’re really all usable, some more than others. If you love them, you could definitely add almost any of them to your short list. We just have different taste in names.

I don’t really like any of the masculine sounding names because they’re just not my style - that includes [name_u]Luca[/name_u], Harlowe, [name_u]Harper[/name_u] and [name_u]Tatum[/name_u]. I love, however, [name_f]Amira[/name_f], [name_f]Viola[/name_f] and [name_f]Brigitte[/name_f]. [name_f]Amira[/name_f] would be my top pick.

My favorites, in order…

  1. [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]
  2. [name_f]Brigitte[/name_f]
  3. [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]
  4. [name_f]Calliope[/name_f]

I’m not a fan of [name_u]Delaney[/name_u], [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f], [name_u]Harper[/name_u], or [name_u]Luca[/name_u] on a girl. The rest are fine, just not exactly my style.

[name_f]Isadora[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], [name_f]Amira[/name_f] and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] are the only ones I really like.
