I’ve recently thought up of a character for a story with a setting that alternates between the real world and a fantasy place where magic exists.
She’s a short teenage girl with knee-length black hair that always appears kind of uncombed (think of a ‘bed head’). She has tan skin and a thin body. Her eyes are black with dark circles around them.
She’s emotional and sensitive but most people know her as a calm, laid-back person. She enjoys socializing with others but she doesn’t begin conversations herself often. She’s made fun of and teased by her classmates but she doesn’t ever fight back and simply tolerates them, much to the annoyance of her friends. She won’t hesitate to fight for her friends and loved ones if they are being harmed or bullied, though. She’s often sleepy throughout the day and can find it difficult to focus, since she suffers from insomnia. She’s not the smartest either but she always tries to work hard.
Her mother and father are alive but both of them are absent from her life so she’s left to provide for herself.
I’m looking for quirky names but I’m open to hearing all suggestions. Gender-neutral names are fine, too. Some (first) names I’ve considered for her include: [name_f]Charna[/name_f], [name_f]Hani[/name_f], [name_u]Josie[/name_u], [name_f]Mim[/name_f] (my favorite), and [name_u]Rue[/name_u].
