My husband and
Out of the two, I prefer [name]Nova[/name], but I understand your hesitation. Are you partial to names that start with “N”?
I prefer [name]Naia[/name] / [name]Nya[/name] (no random H on the end). I don’t like [name]Nova[/name] AT ALL. [name]Naia[/name] Luelle would be stunning, imo.
No, I’m not really partial to “N” names…have just found girls names to be tougher this time. We have a daughter with an “E” name. Another option we kind of like is [name]Elowen[/name], but again, not in love with it (and I’m not a huge fan of sibling matchy names). If a boy, baby will be [name]Arlo[/name] [name]Isaiah[/name]. We find out Thursday, and I’d like to have names picked out when we do…but I am so indecisive this time! :-\ Thanks for the feedback!
I like it spelled “[name]Naia[/name]”…very pretty. Thanks!
Oh! I love [name]Arlo[/name] [name]Isaiah[/name]! Very handsome.
I much prefer [name]Nova[/name]. [name]Nova[/name] Luelle sounds very well. I wouldn’t associate [name]Nova[/name] with any of the brands you mentioned. I first think of the celestial nova and then of my great-grandmother who was named [name]Nova[/name].
I prefer [name]Nova[/name], [name]Nyah[/name] feels kiddie and nickname-y. I only think of supernova, not any brands
I like [name]Nova[/name] better. Not a fan of how ‘[name]Nyah[/name]’ looks, it looks like half a name. If it were spelled [name]Naia[/name], it looks more grown up, but [name]Nova[/name] still wins.
I prefer [name]Nova[/name] over [name]Nyah[/name] which I feel she would spend her life spelling out & correcting people from more-common [name]Maya[/name].
[name]Nova[/name] is pretty gorgeous but the associations bother me a bit as well- especially the [name]Chevy[/name] thing!
[name]Nova[/name] feels more solid & recognizable next to Luelle imo.
[name]Nyah[/name] Luelle is a bit blendy & confusing in the way that my mind naturally wants Luelle to be [name]Luella[/name].
Also [name]Nyah[/name] feels less solid & [name]Nova[/name] feels bright & strong
Those brands didn’t even come to mind when I heard the name [name]Nova[/name]. Like previous people have said, I mostly thought about the word supernova, which isn’t a horrible connection at all in my opinion. And like other people have said, I do think [name]Nyah[/name] seems less solid, like it’s not a full name. I think [name]Nova[/name] Luelle is beautiful, in fact I was just thinking a few hours ago how I like the name [name]Nova[/name], which is odd.
[name]Nova[/name] for me too have you considered [name]Nora[/name] Luelle?
Thank you for all of the feedback! Looks like [name]Nova[/name] is in the lead! I really love the name, but just seem to keep coming back to doubts about the brand names. It helps to know that not everyone would make those, though, which I think is my main concern. I feel like it’s a pretty bold name, which is maybe why I’m having a hard time committing as well. Hmmmm…decisions, decisions.
I do like it, but even though it’s only a one letter difference, I feel like it has a very different feel (more old-fashioned, I think)…it wouldn’t flow quite as nicely with our older daughter’s name. Thank you for the suggestion!
It is a bold choice, but as I said, it has been used for a long time. My great-grandmother was born around 1900 and named [name]Nova[/name], so it’s not exactly in the same camp as [name]Comet[/name] or Asteroid. Since it does have a similar vibe to [name]Nora[/name], [name]Nola[/name], etc. it feels more traditional than others even if it’s not at all common.
I like [name]Nova[/name]. It makes me think of ethereal skyscapes, stars, galaxies, super novas, etc. [name]Chevy[/name] can stuff it.
I like [name]Nyah[/name] better than [name]Nova[/name]… but I much prefer it spelled [name]Naya[/name].
I love the name [name]Nova[/name], that would be my first choice. [name]Even[/name] though I work in a job where I’m constantly dealing with car makes and models, my first association on hearing it is star, heavens, etc.
I also think that [name]Naia[/name] is pretty, and much prefer this spelling…makes me think of a beautiful Greek goddess. Lol!
What is her sibling’s name? Perhaps one of your two choices flows better with that name.
Her sibling’s name is nature/sun inspired, so I think [name]Nova[/name] would make a better sib-set. I’m glad I asked for help, I think [name]Nova[/name] is winning back my heart.
I like [name]Nova[/name].
But [name]Nyah[/name]…nah. it just sounds like all the other super popular and modern names these days
