[name]How[/name] do you feel about [name]Nova[/name]? What is your first reaction? [name]Nova[/name] has been on my radar for quite a while but recently caught my attention enough to really think about it. Can I have some thoughts, please?
Thank you.
I really like it. Its on my short list if I ever have another daughter. I imagine calling her Supernova or Champagne Supernova for a fun nickname. I read somewhere the other day that a Teen Mom or 16 and Pregnant girl named her daughter [name]Nova[/name] [name]Star[/name]. I really hope [name]Nova[/name] doesn’t surge in popularity now.
[name]Love[/name] it! It’s been on my list for a while. It’s different and wordy without being too ‘out there’!
I love it! I’m positive that my hubby won’t go for it because he’s a car guy and it will just remind him of the [name]Chevy[/name] [name]Nova[/name], but I think a lot of people probably don’t have that association. An acquaintance of mine on Facebook recently named her little girl [name]Nova[/name] and it got a VERY positive reaction among all of her friends.
I really liked [name]Nova[/name] and was a bit miffed when one of the 16 & Pregnant girls chose this name. I fear now it may become popular. It is currently very popular in [name]Sweden[/name].
I like it and I definitely think it could work but [name]Norah[/name] has slowly crept its way into my heart to become one of, if not, my absolute favorite name so I always tend to think of the name as a tryndee version of [name]Norah[/name], though I am sure that makes no sense at all.
I love it! I think if someone if brave enough to use it, that’s awesome. Paired with a more traditional, longer middle name it would be gorgeous. Very cute.
Being Canadian, my first thought was [name]Nova[/name] [name]Scotia[/name] (New [name]Scotland[/name]), then Pizza [name]Nova[/name] and [name]Terra[/name] [name]Nova[/name]. I’ve always thought it was strange to name a child “new” (which is my first connection rather than the star). I agree with the pp: watch this name jump in popularity now that it’s known from the “16 and Pregnant” show. Look what this show did for [name]Macy[/name]/[name]Maci[/name] and [name]Bentley[/name].
I love the name, but hate the 16 and pregnant connection.
Yeah, I think it will jump in popularity too, as [name]Bentley[/name] and [name]Macy[/name] did, but maybe not as much. That said, I still think it’s a lovely choice. I love the star connection above all other associations.
I really like it! Like mischa I thought of [name]Nova[/name] [name]Scotia[/name].
I like [name]Norah[/name] better, sorry! It’s a nice name but a bit too New-Agey for me. It makes me think of the TV show Eureka, which you probably wouldn’t know, [name]Lucy[/name], but others on here might. It’s a scifi-ish scientific-experimental town in the middle of nowhere where everyone’s a genius sort of show, haha. [name]Nova[/name] seems like it would be the name of a cafe there or something. I think it’s interesting, just not my cup of tea.
I think [name]Macy[/name] and [name]Bentley[/name] were already a bit tryndee in the South. I know a lot of older guys named [name]Bentley[/name] from the Southwest and the Southern United States.
I also think of [name]Nova[/name] [name]Scotia[/name]. It seems odd to me as a fn b/c of the association.
My first association is the character [name]Nova[/name] [name]Lee[/name] from Where the Heart Is.
To be honest, I don’t love it. It sounds like the kind of name that would make a better pet name than person name.
