What names have you fallen in love with due to a book you’ve read either as a child or as an adult?
As a child:
[name]Clara[/name] and [name]Marie[/name] : E.T.A Hoffman’s The Nutcracker and The Mouse [name]King[/name] - In the original story the little girl’s name was [name]Marie[/name] not [name]Clara[/name], [name]Clara[/name] was one of her dolls.
[name]Eloise[/name]: [name]Kay[/name] [name]Thompson[/name]'s [name]Eloise[/name] Series.
[name]Wendy[/name]: [name]Jim[/name] [name]Barrie[/name]'s [name]Peter[/name] [name]Pan[/name], gave me a soft spot for her.
As a teenager/young adult:
Griet - [name]Tracy[/name] [name]Chevalier[/name]'s Girl with a [name]Pearl[/name] Earring
[name]Petra[/name] : [name]John[/name] [name]Wyndham[/name]'s The Chrysalids, this little girl was sooo cute!
[name]Zoya[/name] : [name]Danielle[/name] [name]Steel[/name]'s [name]Zoya[/name], I loved this book, which was suprising because [name]Steel[/name]'s work is usually to gushy.
There’s more, but I can’t think of them right now
