This is the male counterpart thread to my post about Stephanie !

I have a very select few boys names that I 100% see myself with (ie…5, half of which I’m fairly sure S/O won’t go for), and I have a slightly different imagery for my boys style. If my girls are 80s Valley Girls, then my boys are 80s teen heartthrob names - the leading men of the 80s teen scene. The Michael J Fox. Andrew McCarthy, Rob Lowe, Emilio Estevez-s of the 80s. (NOTE: I cannot use Andrew, I tried…it’s been taken lol).

Here’s what I’ve got for boys so far:

Taylor
Bobby (I’m wavering though - S/O’s become less sold on it)
Jake (love it because Sixteen Candles, but gets a hard nope because it’s an ex-partner’s name)
Michael

Unfortunately due to familial reasons, I have to veto quite a few - Chad, John, Brian/Bryan, Josh, Andrew, Jake, David.

Otherwise, at this stage I’m open to just about anything you’ve got for me! And, when I’m not using S/O’s computer, I’ll upload pictures for reference of what I mean - I just don’t want to flood his computer with a bunch of 80s stuff :joy:

I asked my mum who she went to school with in the UK and Australia in the 60s, as these boys would have been in their 20s in the 80s. (Were teens played by actors in their 20s in the 80’s? Probably!) Excluding names already mentioned, she gave me [name_u]Max[/name_u] and [name_u]Laurence[/name_u].

I’m younger than your preferred time period (I was born mid-80s) but these are the names of guys I went to school with, so maybe? At least the more classic ones that never really go out of style?

Thanks everyone! Sorry I never responded, I haven’t had access to my laptop and my notifications are weird on my phone :sweat_smile: I’m going to borrow S/O’s computer today and go through the lists and suggestions and reply properly! :slight_smile:
