[name]Hi[/name] Berries, this is my first time posting on Nameberry, though I used this site to help pick a name out during my last pregnancy. Our first two children, both girls, were easy to name. Our first daughter’s name, [name]Anya[/name] [name]Evelina[/name], was easy to pick. We got her first name from my mom, [name]Anna[/name], and DH’s mom, [name]Eve[/name]. Our second daughter, [name]Sasha[/name] [name]Natalie[/name], was a bit harder to name, but we ended up going with [name]Sasha[/name] because we loved the name, and [name]Natalie[/name] after a close family friend, [name]Nathan[/name]. This time around, baby number 3, is proving to be a challenge. We were lucky that we ended up having two girls, because in our first two pregnancies we couldn’t ever decide on a boy’s name we liked. This time around-surprise! We just found out that we’re having a boy! Though we’re excited, we just can’t decide on names!
We’re looking for something familiar, but not top 50. The one name we sort of like is [name]Zachary[/name], but we just aren’t sure about it. We don’t really think it fits in with [name]Anya[/name] and [name]Sasha[/name]. We don’t normally like word names, though we did [name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Winter[/name] for a while before we realized that it sounded bad with our last name, which sounds very similar to “[name]Lawyer[/name]”. What can you suggest for us?
[name]Anya[/name] and [name]Sasha[/name] ([name]LOVE[/name] this pairing!) have an Eastern European sound to them that [name]Zachary[/name], which is nice, doesn’t share. I would first suggest looking at names with a similar background…
[name]Alexei[/name] (or [name]Alexander[/name])
[name]Damian[/name]
[name]Dimitri[/name]
[name]Edmon[/name] (or [name]Edmond[/name] or [name]Edmund[/name]…nn [name]Ned[/name])
[name]Efrem[/name] (or [name]Ephraim[/name])
[name]Eriks[/name] (or [name]Eric[/name])
[name]Grigor[/name] (or [name]Gregor[/name] or maybe [name]Gregory[/name])
[name]Ilias[/name] (love this! Could spell as [name]Elias[/name], too. I think [name]Eli[/name] would be nice as well!)
[name]Ivan[/name]
[name]Jeramy[/name] (or [name]Jeremy[/name])
[name]Karlin[/name]
[name]Lev[/name]
[name]Maxim[/name] (love this and nn [name]Max[/name]!)
[name]Simeon[/name]
[name]Vasili[/name]
[name]Viktor[/name] (or [name]Victor[/name])
Otherwise, I would go for a shorter name that isn’t too trendy or traditional classic, which might look a little clashy… [name]Winter[/name] would be cool, but I understand the hesitation. To go with [name]Anya[/name] and [name]Sasha[/name], I’d probably pick something with a slightly softer sound. Some of these might be a little too far out there, but what about…
[name]Brenton[/name] or [name]Benton[/name]
[name]Basil[/name]
[name]Calvin[/name] or [name]Kelvin[/name]
[name]Corin[/name]
[name]Caspar[/name] (or [name]Casper[/name] or [name]Kasper[/name])
[name]Dominic[/name]
[name]Derek[/name]
[name]Fabian[/name]
[name]Frost[/name]
[name]Grant[/name]
[name]Gray[/name]
[name]Heath[/name]
[name]Jude[/name]
[name]Jasper[/name]
[name]Leo[/name] (love this)
[name]March[/name]
[name]Mattias[/name] or [name]Matteo[/name]
[name]Milo[/name]
[name]Marius[/name]
[name]Nolan[/name]
[name]Nicholas[/name]/[name]Nicolas[/name] (nn [name]Nico[/name], [name]Cole[/name], [name]Nick[/name]…)
[name]North[/name]
[name]Orin[/name]
[name]Perry[/name]
[name]Paul[/name]
[name]Robin[/name] or [name]Robert[/name]
[name]Reed[/name]
[name]Tomas[/name] or [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Theo[/name]
[name]Timothy[/name]
[name]Vincent[/name]
[name]Warren[/name]
I agree with above regarding the Russian/eastern european names though I don’t think [name]Winter[/name] is a good fit. It also helps that [name]Vasiliy[/name] is my favourite boys name
I agree with the above suggestions of going with the same Eastern European flair that your girls have. Or a short, masculine name that transcends cultures. I’ll try not to duplicate any that have already been suggested.

[name]Anya[/name] and [name]Sasha[/name] are such adorable sibling names!! Sorry, I don’t know many Russian names so most of my suggestions have already been mentioned, but there is always the option of quintessential [name]Misha[/name] (or [name]Mischa[/name]). Good luck! =]
