Numbers of babies given a particular unusual name

The nameberry blog posted yesterday frequently referenced the number of girls given a particular unusual name. Where is this information online? Maybe I’m just particularly dense but I can’t find it anywhere!

The blog post in question: https://nameberry.com/blog/unusual-girls-names-destined-for-stardom?pid=1092

Where can I find this information?

Click on the “popular names by birth year” tab

To get the detailed information for names not in the top 1000, you have to go to the site above, then go to background information > Beyond the Top 1000. Then you can download a zip file with .txt files for all names given to more than 5 children every year since 1880. There’s a separate .txt file for each year. The direct link is Popular Baby Names Then you can merrily discover things like the fact that out of over 2 million baby girls born in the US in 2011, only 6 were called [name]Blanche[/name] And that there were indeed only 38 baby Coralies (also only 38 girls called [name]Alix[/name], [name]Jody[/name], [name]Lottie[/name], [name]Mavis[/name], [name]Minerva[/name], [name]Soledad[/name], and [name]Verity[/name]). And so many other things…

If you’re looking for exact numbers in the top 1000 only, go to Popular Baby Names, click the tab that says “popular names by birth year”, set the list to “top 1000” and check “number of births” before you hit “go”.

thank you! This was just the information I was looking for!
