O.k. WDYT about Ella??

DH and I came across [name]Ella[/name] this morning, and both really liked it… what are your thoughts. Our other childrens’ names are :

** I was tinking [name]Ella[/name] [name]Faith[/name] or [name]Ella[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]???
Thoughts and suggestions are appreciated!

I think it is a cut name, but the popularity kills it for me. [name]Bella[/name] is also getting more popular, so I think there will be a lot of Ellas/Bellas/Ellies out there! If the popularity doesn’t bother you, though – it does sound cute with your other kids names.

As much as i love the name [name]Ella[/name], i would refrain from using it if i already had an [name]Emma[/name]. Maybe it could be a middle name for you though! Or, it may work better if you found a name where [name]Ella[/name] would be the nickname, therefore not being as close to [name]Emma[/name]. [name]How[/name] about:
[name]Annabel[/name]/ [name]Anabella[/name]
[name]Adele[/name]/[name]Adella[/name] (i would use 2 “l’s” to easily get [name]Ella[/name])
I think [name]Stella[/name] works really well for you. Has the same feeling as [name]Ella[/name], yet different enough from [name]Emma[/name] that she can have her own identity, plus both [name]Stella[/name] [name]Faith[/name] and [name]Stella[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] sound beautiful!

[name]Hope[/name] this helps!

To be honest, I’m a little tired of it.
It’s unfortunate that a nice name has just become too popular for my liking.

I have to agree. Most importantly, I think [name]Ella[/name] is too close to [name]Emma[/name], but I also think [name]Ella[/name] is rather insignificant as a name. I wouldn’t use it for those reasons.

With [name]Maggie[/name], [name]Jonah[/name], [name]Kelsey[/name]-[name]Rose[/name], [name]Emma[/name], [name]Mary[/name]-[name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Levi[/name], [name]Isaiah[/name], and [name]Sophie[/name]-[name]Claire[/name], I might use:
