My wife and I have decided on the name Oake should this baby be a boy. The more I say it the more I think it might be better as [name_m]Oakes[/name_m].
So is Oake or [name_m]Oakes[/name_m] better?
His full name would be Oake or [name_m]Oakes[/name_m] [name_m]Philip[/name_m] [name_m]Moore[/name_m]
If the baby is a girl then she will be [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_f]Amanda[/name_f] [name_f]Lois[/name_f]
I prefer [name_m]Oakes[/name_m]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] as naturey, but also a bit more substantial. [name_m]Oakes[/name_m] [name_m]Philip[/name_m] [name_m]Moore[/name_m] sounds really good.
I also prefer [name_m]Oakes[/name_m], but I would like [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] with the nn [name_m]Oakes[/name_m] the best. [name_m]Oakes[/name_m]/[name_u]Oakley[/name_u] [name_m]Philip[/name_m] [name_m]Moore[/name_m] has very handsome ring to it.
Definitely [name_m]Oakes[/name_m]!
I’m pregnant and husband & I have decided on [name_m]Oakes[/name_m] as a middle name if we have a boy. I love the name & would be just as awesome as a first name!
I prefer [name_u]Oak[/name_u]/Oake. [name_m]Oakes[/name_m] sounds really awkward to prounce to me personally.
I prefer [name_m]Oakes[/name_m]!! I agree with an above poster though - [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] would be a good “full” name and [name_m]Oakes[/name_m] as a nn.
Yes, this.
Also, I’d use either [name_u]Oak[/name_u] (no silent e) or [name_m]Oakes[/name_m] - Oake looks misspelled to me.
I prefer [name_m]Oakes[/name_m] and agree it’s a little more substantial. It reminds me a little of [name_m]Wells[/name_m], which I really like.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] your girl choice!
I prefer Oake, [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] in full.
I agree with the pp who suggested [name_u]Oakley[/name_u], with [name_m]Oakes[/name_m] as the nickname
[name_u]Oakley[/name_u] with nn [name_m]Oakes[/name_m]
[name_m]Oakes[/name_m]! [name_u]Love[/name_u] your other childrens names as well btw, and think [name_m]Oakes[/name_m] flows better with the bunch.
Also liking [name_u]Jude[/name_u] for a girl
