Personally I prefer [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] on a girl. But I wouldn’t bat an eyelid at a boy named [name_u]Oakley[/name_u].
If someone told me they had named their child [name_u]Oakley[/name_u], I wouldn’t have a clue which gender they were. I honestly don’t think I’d expect one more than the other. So I voted completely unisex.
It sounds completely masculine to me, although the only one I’ve come across is a girl.
Most gender neutral names I think sway as being more masculine or feminine to me (like I see [name_u]Avery[/name_u] and [name_u]Peyton[/name_u] as more feminine names) but I see [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] as totally gender neutral. I love this name and think it would work great for either a boy or girl!
While [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] isn’t exactly my taste in names, I feel like it’s one of the very few names that manage to be 100% gender neutral. I can imagine it on a boy just as well as on a girl. Personally I think I would prefer it as a boy’s name, but I wouldn’t bat an eye at all meeting a little girl named [name_u]Oakley[/name_u]
I like it on both - sweet for a girl, cool for a boy
If I heard someone had named their child [name_u]Oakley[/name_u], I’d presume it was a boy, but wouldn’t be super shocked to find out it was a girl. So I guess unisex, but leaning much more toward boy. I personally don’t care for the name, though [name_u]Oak[/name_u] is a cool nickname.
I only know of one [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] and he’s a boy. I prefer it as a boy name, but I don’t think it’d be outrageous to name a girl [name_u]Oakley[/name_u].
[name_f]My[/name_f] nephew is an [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u]! And he has a twin sister named [name_f]Aria[/name_f]. They are only 5mo. I actually suggested thats name to my brother. There is a girl in my school with this name and when I heard it I said that it’s cool. I told my brother about it and he liked it! So I’ve heard it on both girls and boys. It’s completely neutral to me
100% boy.
