I’m going to be the super minority here: [name]Octavia[/name] just doesn’t appeal. It makes me think of an octopus (sorry!). I think the earlier suggested [name]Ottavia[/name] is very pretty though – loses the octopus and sounds feminine. I like almost all of the suggested nicknames too, and with [name]Ottavia[/name] you could still use just about any of them, [name]Tavia[/name], [name]Tavy[/name], [name]Ava[/name], etc.

[name]Octavia[/name] is such an awesome name!! super unique, while not tipping over the edge of crazy. (Any siblings will want names just as cool, just looking towards the possible future…) Plus, there are some great meanings behind it…like she’s due on the 8th and it started out as a little bit of a joke…
[name]Willa[/name] is my second favorite. But just doesn’t have the same flavor as [name]Octavia[/name]. I’m not a fan of [name]Cora[/name], at all.

i like how strong octavia is! it kind of makes willa and cora seem a little weak by comparison! but i think that all 3 are pretty names. if your family is anything like mine someone will have something negative to say about whichever you pick (or some really obvious look of distaste while they say something like, ‘well that’s…unique’)!! pick the one you love the most!

I’ve really liked [name]Octavia[/name] for ages (a decade at least), I think it’s great! I also think [name]Ottavia[/name] is gorgeous, and for some reason seems a little moure useable (though I think [name]Octavia[/name] is totally usable as well.)
My name’s [name]Octavia[/name]. And i always think that makes me unique. Very few people carry that name. Some of me close mates sometimes make a joke at me like octopus or octavia the car. But they call me just oct, short and close. So i’d say some nickname me mates gave me are Oct, [name]Octa[/name], Octavy. 100% of people i’ve met said i have a very cute name and then compliments come along. The only difficulty is someone don’t know how to pronounce or spell it.
